My ink cartridges in my Lexmark printer won't move toward the center when I open the printer. The lights saying my ink cartridges are out of ink are blinking but they're only a week old.

Maybe the cartridges are not seated well or just needs cleaning. Unplug the printer from the power source. Open the cover. Hold the white tape in the middle inside the printer. The other end of it is connected to the carrier. Gently slide the carrier to the center. Remove the cartridges and wipe nozzles with damp paper towel. Reload the cartridges. Close the cover. Plug the printer back to power source. If problem continues, cartridges may need replacement. You may also contact Lexmark technical support to further investigate the problem. Thanks.
