LD message - How do you disconnect hoses to look...

So, I got the bottom panel off of my machine - and was able to take the clamps off of the pump (I think that's what it is - has a black and a yellow hose leading to it-? ) - and it looks clean.  I would like to check the hoses but don't know how to unclamp them - they are held in place with these wire contraptions.   And above the hoses (my machine is on its front) is a tranluscent plastic chamber-kind of thing - I can see that that is dirty in there - how do you access that?
