Question about Sierra Custom Home 3D (63002)

I can't find the folder MSVCRT.dll. My game still won't work. What do I do? Please help.

Neither of those solutions worked. The pirate bay doesn't have sierra home architect. At least I couldn't find it. Every time I try to start the game up it still says that Sierra Home Architect (tm) has stopped working. I am working with Windows Vista. I don't know if that can cause any problems.

  • angellapril Aug 27, 2010

I already did that stuff and it didn't work.

Hi,

Read a nice article :-

http://www.tech-pro.net/howto_016.html

Method 1 is always the best to install the application. It would be tough to get that file and that you need to install it appropriately and get the whole thing fixed. You could purchase different registry fix software's, however that involved money.

So, either go for reinstall of application or system restore.

Let me know,if needed further assistance.

Hope i helped you.

Thanks for using ' Fixya ' and have a nice day!!

Reinstall the game ..or if you try to reinstall it and it sees it already installed..click repair if it is available ...This in conditions that the game worked well and now it asks for that file when you try to open it ..it is only a issue of a lost file or deleted by the anti-virus cause it had some kinda bug on it ..if you reinstall the game will work ..
if the game is installed for the first time now ..and it asking for that file ..maybe the file could not be found on the disk cause of some disk damage..In this case try to download the game (software ) .. image from the torrent site ..and installit with the daemon tools and folowing the instructions ..cause usually you have to open the image and look for teh crack folder inside and copy it into the main director..If you installed this kinda games before you will know what to do ..and also usually the guys have instructions on the downloads..
here is the link for Pirate bay ..
http://thepiratebay.org/
usually you can find about every game on here ..and the cracks are available to avoid the serial keys..
but first try to reinstall if you have the original one ..maybe is just a installation malfunction and will find that file and will work ..usually does..

I gave it a thought ..and I want you to try this steps cause I think this program was designed to work under older versions of windows..

    1. Open the "Start" menu, open the "All Programs" list, and locate the folder for Sierra Home Architect.

    2. Right-click on the executable file for the program (the file
you would click to start Sierra Home Architect) and select "Properties."

    3. Click on the "Compatibility" tab and check off the box stating "Run this program in compatibility mode."

    4. Select the version of Windows for which the program was
originally designed from the drop-down menu, depending on the version of
Home Architect that you are trying to run. When in doubt, work your way
backwards one OS at a time, attempting to get the program to run
      successfully.

just go to that executable in start all programs ..and click right and properties..and compatibility ..in there tick the run in compatibility with..case..and choose your way down from XP ...until it works..
the program will actually think is running on the operation system you choose..

another way to fix it ..if it still asks for that file after you fix the compatibility ..is to make a search ...for msvcrt.dll ..and you will find several ones...in system 32 and in Java ..etc...just copy (not cut ) the one in the system 32..and after that go to the programs director files and look for the one that is supposed to work in here ..either by the address that shows the location in the program folder..or make a new search in its director..and paste over it ..the one from the system 32.. restart and see if it works ..

Download file msvcrt.dll of windows xp light

The dynamic link is installed when XP Operating system is installed. It is in the System 32 folder. You may end up reinstalling XP from the original CD to effectively reset the DLL's in their respective place.

Msvcrt.dll error message(Msvcrt.dll error message("the procedure entry except handler4 common could not be located dinamic link library msvcrt.dll")

Two possible solutions.
Roll back system with System Restore. Win 7 - Start > Search type System Restore. XP - Is Start > All Programs > Accessories > System Restore. Now choose a date prior to problem. You may have to try a few dates.

Try disabling startup programs. Go to Start > Run (search in Win 7) and type MSConfig. In Startup tab, uncheck anything that you don't want Windows to load automatically. It will make Windows boot faster and use less resources while running. This just disables them in startup. Programs will still load, but when only you initiate.

Giving error msvcrt.dll

To fix msvcrt.dll errors such as a lost _resetstkoflw routine, the Msvcrt.dll file has to be reset to its default state. A Windows XP installation disc is required to do this remedy. Follow these simple step by step procedures:

1. Put the Windows XP installation disc in the optical drive and boot from this drive.

2. Press R to go to the Recovery Console menu upon seeing the Welcome to set up display.

3. Choose the number that corresponds to the OS that needs to be repaired, should your pc have a multi-OS system.

4. Log in as an administrator.

5. When on Recovery Console already, input these commands and hit the enter key after typing them to run the commands:

cd system 32

ren mscvrt.dll mscvrt.bak

F: (where F is the optical drive, and C is the root drive where windows resides)

cd\i386

expand msvcrt.dl_ C:\windows\system32

exit

Cannot open program , get the following message: Procedure entry point cannot be found V@YAXPAX@Z in dynamic link library msvcrt.dll.

Hello,

The message you are getting indicates the the copy of msvcrt.dll is not compatable with the program you are running.

By the way msvcrt.dll stands for Microsoft Visual C Runtime Library and is a 'dynamic link library' in case you were wondering.

I would recommend one of the following:

1: Contact the programs publisher and ask them about this issue and what version of this library IS compatible with your program.

2: Find the version of the copy of msvcrt.dll you have by going to C:\windows\system32\
find msvcrt.dll, right click on it and click on the 'Version' tab and write down the version number.

Go online and acquire a newer version of msvcrt.dll and place it in C:\windows\system32\

Just delete the msvcrt.dll file from the SHA folder (C:\Sierra\SHA).

In Vista:
1. Click on the Start button.
2. Click on Computer.
3. Click on Local Disk (C:).
4. Double-click on the Program Files folder.
4. Double-click on SIERRA folder.
5. Double-click on the SHA folder.
6. Click on the msvcrt.dll file.
7. Press delete.
