Question about Casio Music

1 Answer

I have a Casio CTK-2000. I can't get a tight connection between my pedal and my pedal port. For a while I could press it in far enough for it to work off and on, but now I can't.

You might have to replace the input jack for your pedal. It will involve disassembling the keyboard enough to get at the solder side of the circuit board where the jack is mounted. Desolder the jack and take it to a good electronics parts supplier to obtain an exact replacement and solder the replacement in. That is the easiest fix.

Looking for a sustaining pedal for the Casio ctk 401 keyboard. What models will be compatible?

They are all compatible. Make sure the port on the keyboard is the same size as the plug on the pedal, usually a phono plug. Also make sure it is a sustain pedal and not an "on off " switch.

Where can i get a ctk 481 driver

CTK 481 only has MIDI-IN and MIDI-OUT ports & no USB. So you need to buy a USB-MIDI interface (cable-like) preferably one that is class-compliant for you OS. Class-compliant device do not need drivers (PCs, MACs, IPAD).

Ctk-651 sustain pedal working backwards

Buy sustain pedal made for CASIO or switable model.
Pedal for Yamaha or Roland will work in reverse on a Casio.
If you cannot return for exchange, then open up and solder a different type of micro switch.

I just got an sp-3 sustain pedal for my casio ctk 560l keyboard but have no sound when i plug it in. How can i get it to work? I there a button i have to press or something?

Make sure you are plugging it into the place for the sustain pedal. If you happen to plug it into the audio out it may kill the sound.

The audio is not coming out what to do

First, check your volume. Try turning it up the whole way. If that doesn't work, then try moving the slider switch to normal, and playing.
Also, try using the keyboard in Song Bank mode. If you have a Sustain Pedal, make sure it's in the accessory port and not the Headphone port. If none of this works, then you may have blown a speaker. Parts are cheap from Casio ($13.00) and are relatively easy to put in yourself.

Not able to connect to USB MIDI of my Casio CTK 810i

On reading specs, use of the USB is NOT supported on a MAC or on other than the 32 bit version of Vista. If you happen to have the 64 bit Vista, it won't work. All the other versions of Windows seem to be supported..

SOMETIMES one must install the software BEFORE connecting the USB cable to the unit. SOMETIMES one must install the drivers in SAFE MODE. These things are ridiculous, but some of the quirks of Windows are stupid.

Try downloading MidiOx and troubleshooting with it. It will show you if you have any midi activity and which channel your Casio is transmitting on etc.
