It is a virus definitely. I have a friend who had the exact same problem with Vista on his Sony Vaio laptop. Lucky for him it was under warranty, and he was able to get it replaced. It is definitely a virus. Mozilla doesnt shopup and IE7 having problems connecting to any site.

I recommend that you try this online utility to scan for malware, virus, adware, etc:
http://housecall65.trendmicro.com/
I generally run my antivirus and Syware remover software on a daily basis, and thought my system was clean. However, I chanced upon this site and simply did a scan (its FREE!!) and it found 2 trojans, 3 malware and a host of other stuff. I really recommend you try it..its FREE after all :)

If that doesnt resolve your issue, I recommend doing a system restore. there is no other way.

Hope you rate this solution as Fixya. I would greatly appreciate your show of gratitude.

Cheers!

If you are using IE 7/8 you can try to run the program without loading any add-ons to see if one of them is causing the problems. To do this, click Start -> All Programs -> Accessories -> System Tools and then click Internet Explorer (No Add-ons).
(You can also load IE without add-ons by clicking START --> RUN and then typing iexplore.exe -extoff)
If those don't work try to re-register IEPROXY.DLL by clicking START --> RUN and typing regsvr32 IEPROXY.DLL and then clicking OK.
When IE dissapears does IExlorer.exe show in the task manager's list of running processes?
Have any toolbars or new sofware been added recently? If so and you are using Win XP you may want to try a system restore to a previous point before the changes were made or uninstall the toolbars completely. Need to disable the access of the address bar in IE

hi,

You can use frames to keep your URL fixed while still allowing navigation without revealing the actual URL.
Example: http://www.rgagnon.com/jsdetails/js-0099.html
Alternatively, As your real intention is to prevent users from modifying the URL, consider implementing URL rewriting to scramble the URL so that the actual file path is not obvious. URL rewriting is the process of intercepting an incoming Web request and automatically redirecting it to a different URL.
Check these links for more info on URL rewriting:

Hi friend,

Yes it is a virus. do one thing do a system restrore. But take all the backup first because once you do a system restore it will restore you PC to earlier time and all the data will erased.to do a system restore go to start>programs>all accessories>system tools>system information.

If you don't want to do a system restore then just remove the firefox and run a virus scan.Kaspersky is waste use bit defender and spyysweeper both to remove all the viruses.

Goodluck..

Problem with rundell.exe and ntvdm.exe

AvastFREE
Free antivirus select your language and country, download and open, select run a boot time scan restart.
After the unit is virus free we'll work on the next problem, but rundll errors generally occur when infected by malware or trojans.
