Almost, but i would recomend getting the training manual for your set so you dont buy a power supply needlessly as the training manual has step by step proceedures for your Chassis to diagnose whats wrong. You need the ATC311 training manual. They will email it to you at the following link.

No screen and clicking sound

This set and the one before it (50lc13) had so many problems the latter was recalled and all were exchanged.

Someone would have to open set and check power supply first--set is not real easy to work on.

The recall involved issues where the sets were eating lamps up alive--very short lamp life---solution at first was to rebuild/replace the Ballast which drives the lamp.

Average life should be 2 years or 2,000 hours on that lamp.

So the screen shows nothing, you just see an LED? It's likely just a burnt out bulb in the projector lamp. These should be easy to check and replace, it's really no different than changing a lightbulb in a lamp.

Hitachi 50v500a: Lamp blew, oredered a replacement. Just installed it, and I still get the "lamp" light on and it wont power up.

Remove lamp and look to see the socket the lamp plugs into did not get bent out of position---just check to see if it went in right and after that you put the door back(set will of course not operate if door or cover removed).

If we assume New lamp good and installed correctly the next possible issue is the Ballast which powers the lamp--Not easy on this set to check voltages---should have a plug with over 200-300 volts from power supply going to--the two wire plug from the lamp goes directly to it.

Have checked all connections. Perfect audio. No picture. Have tried different channels. Does Akai have a recommended service depot or parts supplier in the Vancouver, Canada area? I suspect we need a lamp....

The television is actually pretty easy to check if you have a multimeter, T10 torx screwdriver or T10 socket, and a Philips screw driver. First of all remove the back cover from the television, do not worry about the screen assembly, it is flimsy but it is mounted on the inside to not go anywhere when the back cover is removed. Next remove the black voer that is mounted by 4 torx screws, the cover that has the projector part of the engine assembly sticking through, be careful not to damage the black foam rubber that is around the projector head. Once you have those two covers off, unplug the ballast power supply wire which is the white and black wire on the bottom of the ballast, the ballast is the circuit board that is mounted in front of the big fan on the right side Also has two wire coming from the top that plug into the lamp housing. With a multi meter check to see if you have power going into the ballast (TV has to be plugged in and turned on to do this step). If you have power going in then turn the television off and unplug it and and plug the power supply wire back into the ballast. Next remove the lamp which is secured into place with the one screw on the left side. See if you have power coming out. If you have power coming out than replace your lamp. If you do not have power going into the lamp than replace the ballast. If you do not have power going into the Ballast than replace the power supply which is part number DVL-U2830XC good luck in finding that part. If you have power going through to the ballast, and to the lamp and have replaced the lamp than replace the video board Part Number B0001

Sony wega 55 inch tv turns on fine but after one minute tv shuts itself off and comes back on 40 seconds later by itself and this cycle continues - none of the error code lights blink

This kind of problem occurs when lamp becomes weak that means near to end of working life hours but still not dead nor broken.
Replacement of lamp in tv will solve your problem, lamp replacement procedure is easy and would be written in user manual.
Thanks.

Power light and red led light blinking rapidly and simultaneously

This could be easy or hard first i would check the lamp inside this unit and if it looks cloudy, burnt,or has a bulged in the middle peice of the lamp which looks like a stem then i would suggest replacing that lamp, and if that is the issue go to the main menu after the lamp was replaced and working and look for reset lamp timer hit enter .Now if that is not the issue then you could have a problem with the audio IC which is more likely or the power supply.

Mitsubishi TV

Good Day, Ritz1234;

Okay, you made sure lamp was seated properly. GOOD!!Now the hard part but the "fix'. On the TV's power supply you will need to change some cap's. But to verify this remove the panel in front, just to right of the lamp panel. Now look closely... reset unit, look, and turn power on, into second panel's opening... if you see the lamp come on for 5 to 10 seconds. Then lamp goes out, then power supply caps need to be replaced.

The power board is on the left hand side of the TV (from the back), power board is in the very back of that left hand ***'y. To repair the supply you will need 4- 1,000ufd 35v, 2- 3300 ufd 35v and 2- 2200ufd 35v caps on that board. They are the only ones on the board, with replacement in hand it will easy to identify parts to replace.

Good luck, if any concerns let me know, good luck, big IRISH.
