It sounds like either your connections to the motherboard are bad or your power supply is getting flakey. First I would check all the connections on the motherboard and make sure that they are all pushed in and completely connected. If that doesn't work you should test the power supply. You can either purchase a power supply tester (which is handy to have around) or have a local tech take a look at it.
