Defrost the water tube running to your icemaker and replace your inlet valve behind your fridge underneath the rear access panel. Hope I helped you. Rate me If I did.

I have a whrilpool refrigerater the ice maker will not fill with water?

Bonjour,
Ice makers can clog. The water valve can stick open or closed or even not work at all. The water fill nozzle can clog with ice or food. If the unit has been moved the water line could be kinked or the water filter may be clogged. Maybe the water valve for the ice maker water line is turned off. Is there one under the sink? Inside most ice makers there is a thermostat that tells the ice maker that the water is frozen and it's time to dump the ice cubes. That starts a geared motor running to dump out the cubes. And in some cases a mold heater is turned on to help break the ice cubes loose. A lot of ice makers have a cam attached to the motor that turns with the shaft. When the ice cubes are gone the cam starts a timer to refill the ice maker with fresh water to make some more ice cubes. Most "fill" cycles of ice makers are "timed fill". The fill cycle has to start and stop to get fresh water into the ice maker. There may be another thermostat that monitors the air temperature where the ice maker is mounted. If that thermostat thinks the air is not cold enough to freeze water nothing happens. If all the steps don't happen at the right time no ice cubes are made.

Ice maker makes ice but freezes before it can be dispensed so the dispenser is always clogged with frozen ice. Cleaned out the ice maker and started over but same results. The temp is set at 38 for the...

Hi, The freezer should be "0", the possible clogging you have could be a leaking water valve or an over filling ice maker. I would have the ice maker checked for volume of water dispenser during harvest, should be 5.5 oz. (2/3 cup), if more the 6 oz. the ice maker is bad. If fails to stop filling or leaks/drips, replace the water valve behind the unit.
I hope this helps.

Icemaker not workin water dispenser is working fine

Hello,

Looks like your fridge is not very old. Common problem is a clog inside the ice maker. It's a pain to do, probably easyer to get it fixed unless you have a long time to wait for a service call or live in an area without service. Anyway clog is most likely about an inch from the in take line inside the ice maker.

Take out the ice maker or turn off the freezer untill it thaw's then use a tooth pick or THIN ice pick to push the clog through to the actual freezing tray, wash out the tray and re start the ice maker.

Good luck....

Ice maker won't let in water.so it won't make ice.

clogged tube to the ice maker from the valve...or bad valve. As long as you see the ice maker turning and no water comes in, it is one of the 2.

take the head off the ice maker and put a jumper wire between the letter
l and the letter v...stick the wire in the 2 holes...make sure the part you are holding is insulated. Water should go right into the icemaker....if not you have a bad valve or clogged tube

No ice from ice maker

sounds like the inlet valve is defective. you should have a dual water inlet valve, one side for the dispencer and the other for the ice maker. I would check to be sure the inlet for the icemaker is not clogged, also check to be sure that ice has not clogged the water line near the ice maker, or the valve could be defective.

Ice maker

ice tube for ice maker keeps clogging with ice . I repeatedly remove and clear it only to find it freezing again. This only happens when the ice maker is turned off for a couple of days.
