Its the P foot, which is all clear, and attaches directly to the shank after you unscrew the whole metal foot ( not just on the clip like the other feet) and you screw it into position and it doesn't touch the material

I need instuctions on using different presser foot for ja nome schoolmate

Please add a comment with the specific model of Janome Schoolmate sewing machine.

Fpr the Janome Schoolmate S-3015, make sure that the needle is fully up and raise the presser foot. Then press the red button on the back of the presser foot holder to have that foot drop off. Set the pressure dial to 3 before attaching the new presser foot. For snap-on feet, align the pin of the presser foot (the horizontal bar in the middle of the foot) under the presser foot holder. Lower the presser foot holder (using the presser foot height lever) until it locks onto the foot.

For the zipper foot, you need to fit the rear pin on the foot into groove at the back of the presser foot holder. Then lower the presser foot holder onto the zipper foot.

These are shown on page 11 (14 of the PDF) of the manual. You can download the manual here: http://janome.com/en/machines/sewing/schoolmate-s-3015/ . The direct link to the manual is http://janome.com/siteassets/support/manuals/school-models/schoolmate3015.pdf .

For the S-7330, you need to again raise the needle and the presser foot. Press the lever towards (it moves slightly up, not down) the presser foot holder. Then line up the pin on the foot under the presser foot holder and lower the presser foot holder onto the foot so that it locks. This is also in that sewing machine's manual, here: http://janome.com/siteassets/support/manuals/school-models/inst-book-s-7330esf.pdf . See page 14 (18 of the PDF).

I hope this helps.

Trying to free motion quilt with darning foot. No directions in small manual. Does any know if there is a user guide for all that this machine can do.

General instructions for using a darning foot to FMQ:
Put in a new needle, install the darning foot, then be sure to DROP the feed dogs. Then practice on a scrap quilt sandwich (made up of the fabric and batting you plan to use on your quilt). (You may need to readjust the tensions if your top or bottom threads are popping through to the other side.) If you've not FMQ'd before, practice, practice, practice. You need to get your brain in tune with your hands (much like you did in elementary school learning to write). It even helps to get a white board and practice making FMQ designs with erasable white board markers or a pencil and paper pad. A FMQ instructor told us that it takes 50-60 times before your brain and hands develop the coordination. The more you do it, the better you will get. When FMQing, practice moving your hands as smoothly and consistently as possible. If your hands jerk, your stitches will sew it. Also, practice using a consistent machine speed for even stitching.

I've lost my regular foot for my Singer prelude 8280. I'm looking for a reasonable one online. Can anyone help? Thanks.

Any snap on foot will fit, at least that is what it looks like in your manual. (I looked it up for free at www.singerco.com, under customer support, instruction manuals to download.) You can order from Singer direct or go to www.sewingpartsonline.com search under presser feet and order any one you want under snap on presser feet. They run approx. $14.95 each

Want to sew light leather does it make a difference on what foot and needle I use. and I have lost the manual, where can I get another?

you have to use a needle for leather,, a walking foot or roller foot is better than a regular presser foot

brother.com has free operation manuals
on the home page go to the homesewing/embroidery on the left hand side of page
on the left side look for product manuals
on select product group select homesewing/embroidery & model number to download

When I turn my machine on the presser foot does

This does not sound good, you may have a failure in the eletronics. However it could be a loose connection inside the machine too. I think you need to see a service tech.

How do I re-align the shank on my Singer Quantum XL 6000?

Repair manuals are not avaialbe to consumers. Is the walking foot the one that came with the machine or is it a generic? The original should work,if not the presser bar is out of line and there is so much stuff inside the head end module that it should be taken to an authorized service tech.

Need a foot pedal

If you lost your foot pedal you also lost the cord. Take the machine to a local dealer and let him get what you need. Should cost $45-$50
