My ge wash machine wbsr1060t2ww will fill with water but then does nothing

You have a bad lid switch. If the lid switch or lid switch circuit is open the motor is not going to run. Trace the lid switch wires and look for any breaks or loose connections. If that circuit is good, then you have a bad capacitor on the motor circuit or the motor is bad. Here is a link to the motor kit should you need it.

Does not empty and spin

Check the lid switch it should be on the right side after you open the lid take a knife and push down on it if you hear a click sound every time you push down then its good if not replace it. Next check the pump and pump hoses for clogs. If good lid switch and pump than replace timer.

My washer timer does not advance after initial agitation cycle. The water stays in the tub. If I disconnect the drain hose the water does come out of it. I am not sure if it is timer only or the pump...

Mr Patel your problem is easily solved my friend. I suspect you have a broken lid switch. To verify this Mr Patel you would remove the lid switch connection and jumper the 2 hot wires. Their are 3 wires going into the harness from that lid switch Mr Patel. One is a green ground wire connected to the frame. The other 2 are live wires leading to that lid switch. Jump them 2 wires and that washer will run if that lid switch has failed. I have written a short essay on the 4 most common failures of this wonderful machine and included 4 videos and a service manual Mr Patel. Once you have determined you indeed have a lid switch failure replace that lid switch do not leave it jumped out. Someone could get hurt monkeying around with a washer that is not properly fited to be safe. Stay safe my friend.

My washer will run up until the spin cylce. I wont drain the water or spin, it just stops. My roomate followed your suggestion on this site to check the pump and pipes to make sure they were clear. He siad...

Twist timer very fast a few times and stop it on spin with the lid closed. Wiggle the timer to get the points to connect. Even if you
just get a little bump then its the timer.
If none of this works then it is the timer plus maybe something else contributing.

Don't forget to check the lid switch plunger on the lid

My washer will not drain the cycle will run but when it comes to rinse it it fills but wont drain or spin.

the timer switch is defective....have the timer switch can also usually take them apart to clean them for re-use but it's not practical if you don't know's best to replace's also safer because there are high voltages and currents inside and unless you've worked with electronics and electrical circuits, i don't recommend that you do it yourself....good luck

Whirlpool commercial washer stopped running mid

Most likely the pump is plugged with lint, pillow stuffing, a small object, or some other obstruction which is not allowing the motor to turn.

Kenmore 80 series washer, replaced lid switch already, will fill, wash (agitate) but stops before draining and spinning and will not run. Is the timer the next step for replacement? Model: 110.29852991

First check the continuity of the wires in the lid switch and the switch itself. Make a jumper wire to attach to the lid switch connector on the washer cabinet and set it to spin. If still no spin, replace the timer.

My washer is not dumping the water after wash.. I changed the timer same thing.. any help

If your washing is "not draining the water ad mid or end of the (rinse/spin cycle)", the typical problem for this complaint is your lid/door switch (most likely) or the water pump (likely).

In general, lid-switches run about $15 and the typical "working lid-switch" should have a "clicking" sound when opening and closing the door (not all models). The water pump can also be the problem, but from what you've described, I would look into your lid-switch first. Timers are very rare and relatively expensive in comparison to other washer components. Who told you the problem was the timer?

Washer will not run pump

Check your lid switch. This is a tell tale symptom of a lid switch gone bad. The washer fills, agitates, but will not spin or drain. The lid switch is located along the right hand side of the lid opening on most models, but some newer models have a switch in the left rear of the lid. Simply open and shut the lid several times and listen for a distinctive "click" of the lid switch as you open and close the lid. A lid switch usually runs about $35 to replace. If you provide me with your washer model number (usually located under the lid somewhere) I can give you the part number you need. That is...if the lid switch is the problem. The only other problem that I have encountered that caused the same symptoms, was a bad timer. Timer vs Lid Switch: Lid switch is a cheaper fix. I would try this option first. Let me know if this helps and/or if you need more guidance.
