For this problem you have to look in your menu.
it has something to do with a setting for the deaf. they dont hear so the function gives them a chance to read what is going on, for example on news programs.
I dont know what the function is called but you have to disable it in order to eliminate the square.

Sony rear projection tv model KP-53V15 turns on, have sound but no picture, after a while, picture comes on, but later goes out again, picture keeps coming and going. Where do I start looking?

Adjust Screen Volts (G2) of all 3 picture tubes and screen volt control knobs are on focus block located under speaker grills at front of TV.
Remove speaker front grille of TV, look for focus block that has 6 control knobs, 3 knobs are for focus and 3 for screen volts, increase volts by turning little bit control knobs of screen volts and this will solve your problem.

My Sharp LCD 26" TV shows most black and shadow colours as vivid blue, I have tried resetting the colour to factory reset but that didn't seem to help at all. It occurs on all channels and on 3...

the problem with LCD tvs are that they have back lamps that shine thru the LCD sceen. the job of the screen is to block the light of the different colors to make the picture. the problem is that the very thin screen can not block all the light. if the set has a back lamp setting turn down the back lamps and adjust the brightness control it should help a little. you my notice that the blacks and dark sceens look better when the room is fully lit and look much worse in a darken room.

Back wheels

Hi, I had similar. Actually if you release the black block underneath by unscrewing the lateral screw. Be careful as their is a spring underneath the black block. Having removed all of this, push the grey button up from underneath with the wheels push full on. This will lock them, THen keeping them pushed full on, replace the spring, black block and lateral screw. This worked for me. Seems bad as a work around but it does the trick.
