Get t the wireless card of the printer ..and reconnect it in the actual conditions of the router ..just open the card ..and scan for network ..when you find it ..connect ...and insert the network password if it has the security activated..Practically connect the printer again like you connect a wireless laptop ..
If the connection is made to one of the ports of the router ..by cable ..than open the lan card in the printer and insert the values corespondent to the position in the port .. or put it to automatically (obtain an IP address automatically ) if the router supports it ..and it is not necesarry to insert the addresses a manually ....if it is ..get to the other option ..use the following Ip address ..and insert the values like in the computer that connects in the near by port ..only at the IP address insert the last digit with one unit more than the port near it ..like thi s..
if the printer is in the 4th port ..and the computer near it in 3rd has the Ip address 192.168.1 4..the printer will became ..192.168.1.5 (they are always with one digit more..cause the router is 1..the rest since the port one are from 2...3..and so on ..

I want use my 2wire (2701HG-B) Wireless Router without the dsl line

Modem and routers are considered only as access point you computer may be able to connect to your router but if you dont have a DSL line you will not be able to go on line... if you dont want a DSL line there are service that concentrates on wireless alone... in this DSL line are not required nor router but may provide you a USB wireless adapter that has their wireless service then again try calling an Internet Service provider for this options...
thanks... Roger

Dlink DI-514 dropping my wireless connections

Your router probably needs a firmware upgrade to accommodate the throughput from the ISP server.
1. check with your provider to see if you have issue with your cable or DSL line.
Sometime if it is a DSL line it is the drop to your house , ( rodent chews in the line; rain or moisture, or dangling and not secured.
2.Cordless phones to close to the router will cause disconnection.
3. A firewall setting in an anti virus software can cause disconnect if not properly configured.
4. channell selection will cause disconnect on some older router such as yours and an new router is the only remedy because the router has come what is called " end- fo -life " and the manufacturer no longer support the router because of new router technology implemented.

Don't have home phone and looking to buy router/modem.

Yes it requires a phone line for AT&T, or a cable modem, or a community wireless modem to hook up to the internet

Have SBCglobal with 2wire but want N wireless capability

Follow the dots -

2 wire DSL wire to back of DSL modem.

Ethernet cable out of DSL modem, to current router (if you have one).

Ethernet cable out of current router (if you have one) to new Wireless N router.

If you currently have a wireless G router, keep it, or, use the new Wireless G/N router alone. You will need to set up all security settings again if you remove your current router, and if the new router is N only, you will need to make sure all your wireless connecting computers have wireless N cards in them.

Ic help

Scenario 2 to 4: Scenario 2) The modem does not have an Ethernet port. The modem is a dial-up modem for traditional dial-up service. To use the Router, you need a cable/DSL modem and high-speed Internet connection.

Scenario 3) You cannot use the DSL service to connect manually to the Internet.
After you have installed the Router, it will automatically connect to your Internet Service Provider (ISP), so you no longer need to connect manually.

Scenario 4) The DSL telephone line does not fit into the Router’s Internet port.
The Router does not replace your modem. You still need your DSL modem in order to use the Router. Connect the telephone line to the DSL modem, insert the setup CD into your computer, and then follow the on-screen instructions
