When i close the door on the freezer side the water trickles down the front panel

This could be a leaking water valve. First thing I would suggest is to turn the water supply off under the sink or behind fridge wherever its located and see if the leaking stops. If so then you'll need to replace the water valve on fridge. If this doesn't work look up inside the ice chute on front of door and make sure the flapper is closing all the way when you get ice. Warm air coming up into freezer because the flapper is not sealing tight can cause water to run down front of fridge. If this is the case there is usually frost buildup on the ice chute on the inside of door.

Have you had a dispenser flapper replaced..if its not sealing (closed) properly it will lead to frost buildup in the location described..

You can check that by looking into ice chute form inside the freezer door and see if any light shines through

Ice Dispenser keeps getting frosted over and not dispensing ice

The problem your having is that the door in the dispenser chute isn't closing completly and warm air is coming in, clashing with the freezer and the moisture in the warm air freezes and collects right there in the chute causing the ice build up. The more common parts that may cause this is the door flapper being bad or damaged, flapper soleniod, which helps the flapper doofr get a good seal, and electronic board on the dispenser itself.

PSI23MGMABB - icemaker chute gets full of snow - what causes that?

Hi,
There is a flapper that opens to let the ice drop out....this flapper is either broken or just does not seal properly anymore...then moisture from the outside air goes up the chute and then condenses and freezes on the inside of the chute,
That is what causes the ice to build up in there...

SubZero 690: Frost builds up on ice chute flapper door

you have a bad seal, Take a dollar bill and slide it in between the door seal and the frig. slide it up and down to see if if has drag on it. If you find places it dont touch loosen the screws and adjust the hinges till it fits tight. In some cases you might have to tweak the doors if they need it.

make sure that the flap is sitting in properly. if it is and problem still happens then i'd say that its a design fault
