Hi,

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.

the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).

click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

goodluck!

When the angle unit is in radians

sin^-1(0.184)=0.1850543940 radians

When angle unit is in degrees

sin^-1(0.185)=10.60283581

Your calculator is calculating the functions correctly)

In the following screen captures the sine of the values is calculated with the unit specified inside the formula (degree symbol and radian symbol are inserted to show you the unit). In the last calculation the value of the sine is practically 0.184

**Remember that when angle is in radians**, for very small angles (less than 10 degrees), **sin(x) and tan (x) are about equal to the value of the angle in radians**

sin^-1(0.184)=0.1850543940 radians

Make sure you're angular mode is set to radians, not degrees. With the default window range, sin(x) in degrees is virtually indistinguishable from zero.

To change the angular mode, press MODE, down-arrow twice, left/right-arrow to highlight Radian, ENTER to set it, and 2ND [QUIT] to exit.

Press the [MODE] key to access the mode comfiguration screen .

Set angle unit to to radian (see above)

Enter angle value in Decimal degrees only, use the [2nd][ANGLE] key sequence to have access to the degree symbol. The degree symbol must imperatively appear at the end of the angle value.

Here are some examples

If you use angle values in DMS, it will not be converted to radians, but to decimal degrees.

If you omit the degree symbol there is no conversion.

A general formula is Pi radians =180 degrees

if you press the |mode| button (at the top right of the calculator) until you see Deg Rad Gra on the screen (I believe 3 presses of the mode button) and just hit the number below the rad option on the display. This will permanently change it to radian mode until you repeat this step, or clear the memory.

There is also a way to change to radian mode for just one operation if you will be mostly using degrees for example

at the bottom there is a DRG> as a shifted function. I would just recommend changing it in the way I initially outlined as there is less room for error when making calculations.
