Question about Garmin StreetPilot c340 GPS Receiver
I've been using this GPS for about 2 years now and I recently noticed there is no longer a battery icon or power when it is unplugged from the power source in the car. I tried the reset button and that did not work. I also left the GPS plugged into my computer for a whole night and still no battery icon or battery power. Is the battery replaceable? Do I need to change the fuse? I am concerned that if I lose power in the car I'll be stuck. Any suggestions?
The Garmin batteries tend to die after about 2 years. Garmin will replace the battery for you but prepare to pay top dollar. It is a shame because the problem is commonplace. They should have made the replacement user friendly. The battery is buried deep inside and it is soldered.

It is possible the battery has died. This is not designed to be replaced by the consumer. Your best bet would be to contact Garmin regarding replacing the battery.

Use MapSource to transfer the Waypoints from the unit to your PC. If you lose them, you can then transfer them back. (I updated a C330 from 4.40 to 6.10 and did NOT lose them, however.)
