Was the blown channel working and then quit or was the channel out when you received the amp?

Do you have jumpers on every group of headers?

Have you tried connecting speakers to all channels and moving the jumpers to see if the other channels would produce audio with other jumper settings?

Rca hdtv channel changed by mistake

RCA channel setup and selection is not easy to understand. You may try to add channel 3 on the add/remove channel section. If that doesn't work try pressing the input button. Good Luck.

Try switching your RCA cables around from the one that you know is getting sound. It may jsut be a bad rca or output from your radio!!

NAD T973 amp had noise, overheated, and then blew fuse

Hi, Very unlikely your repair of the RCA caused any damaged as preamp shouldn't cause big issues in the amp and would say you right that the problem existed already. The resistor is 100 ohm 5% but there is almost definitely blown outputs to have caused it. Most electronic places should be fine to test advise and repair. Would suggest outputs and drivers, but unfortunately not always that simple. Best of luck

Get closed captions on some channels, but not all, even though it is CC

RCA have choices for different methods of CC in user CC menu. Labelled T1, T2, etc. . Different selections are for different types of close caption. Tune to a signal (on your other TV) that has closed caption working.

Tune your RCA to the same signal. Change the T1,T2, etc settings until the closed caption for your signal appears.

If this doesn't work, try connecting analog video or VHF channel 3 (or other specified channel) to the TV. check CC. When TV stations, sat channels, sat receivers, cable boxes etc, convert analog video signals to HD, problems can result. Some equipment causes RCA TVs to do unexpected things with sound and closed caption.

If you use RF or video output, old analog video may look better on CH3 or video than on HD input and the CC will work more consistently. Watch HD signals on HD input, Analog signals on Video in or through the TV tuner . Many HD channels and programs are converted analog video and look poor on TV HD inputs.

Weird sound

get a portable player with a head phone jack get one of those cables with a headphone plug on one end and RCA's on the other plug the portable player into the amp and hit play. If you get Boom then the RCA grounds in your head unit are blown and only a repair shop can fix that. Also double check all grounds making sure they are solit with the proper gauge wire. Under the rear seat belt bolts is a prime connection point. Check with different RCA's
