Laptop goes on some few minutes after being shut down.

you cannot blame windows xp because according to me it is such OS that it removes many problems of windows 7 and vista.windows 7 and vista makes your pc much slow and many features dont work but windows xp is free from these errors.actually you hear the sound but nothing appears on the screen.this is because your cpu fan is running which takes somes time to stop.may be some problem of the hardware especially the mainboard.go to any repair shop and just get it checked.

Engine light comes out for few days and turns of for fews. unitl now that is the routine of my car. i have a mazda3 2007 model. the light goes on and off until the car stops running and i need to remove...

If I were you I would take the car to have the recorded error codes downloaded from the on-board diagnostics. You have a persistent error and the ECU is detecting this and switching on the Check Engine Light. The error might be minor but its effects might be damaging (low coolant for example is easy to fix but risks causing expensive damage if allowed to go untreated). The recorded error codes (DTCs) should provide much more information to make a diagnosis on the root cause of your car's problem.

When switched on it runs for few minutes and then switch and displays error code E3

Hi Perhaps after you switch the AC on all that is running in the first few minutes is the indoor fan. Be aware that all AC's have a start delay on the compressor as a protection device for when the operator is having a little fiddle with the controls. The delay is usually 3 to 4 minutes and occurs every time the compressor is stopped and goes to restart. The error code probably occurs when the outdoor unit goes to fire up. The problem may be a number of things. I assume that you dont have a list of fault codes, so here are a few things to look for. 1) Is the unit 3 phase? If so make sure you have all phases supplied. If that is OK check the outdoor fan operation and capacitors. 2) If the system is single phase, again check the operation of all fans and capacitors, 3) If they are ok check that the compressor actually runs. It may only hum but not spin up.. If it only hums, the capacitors may be crook or compessor jammed. If the compressor seems to be dead, ie: no response, no humming, no turning. I guess it will cost you, so call a serviceman. Again much depends on the type and model and the problems may be simple or extensive, If you are not trade qualified or experienced keeping your little fingers out of the thingo would be a real good move. However a good pair of ears can tell you much. Good luck

Blinking light

the light blinking is an error code. you can count the number of blinks from a brief pause. it would continue to blink the same number of blinks after a brief pause. count this blinks and you can help the incompetent person that installed your unit to diagnosed the unit from the error codes that you will give him.

if you unplug the unit, it will reset and run again. after a few minutes, the sensor would sense the trouble and turn off the unit and display this code again as a blinking light.

tnx for using fixya.
