Not really, because some device you need first to install the device driver before the windows can detect the device. If you bought the device with the cd driver install it first. But if you don't have a driver search in the internet the correct driver of your device.

Where can i get drivers for i-home webcam IH-W305DB, lost install cd

Having researched the device, it was manufactured in 2008. The company referred all tech support to "". This site is no longer active. The company is SDI technologies, which DOES still have a website, but their product list is only for more recent devices. It appears that, even though this device has a "lifetime warranty", that the company has decided that the lifetime is over. I found an online PDF file for the installation instructions; unfortunately they list the device as compatible with Windows XP SP2. They make no mention of MACs or MAC installation, so I am assuming there is no MAC support for the device.

There is no TWAIN-compliant device installed. Please Install one & try IN WINDOWS 2008 SERVER

HP does not support this product in Server 2008 and Microsoft only lists support for 2008 not 2008R2. You really cannot expect either of them to widely support a device designed for a single user under an enterprise operating system.

Dont work on windows seven

Did you run the Windows 7 compatibility test before you upgraded? Have you checked the Windows Hardware compatibility list? Find both here:

If your device is not listed at all and it is not NEW, it will not work on Windows 7. If it is listed, additional instruction will be found in the listing. If you want to find out HP position, go to, select your area, select support tab, enter your device and see if there is a driver for your printer that will run under Windows 7. If there is a driver ... well there you go. If there is no listing, well read on my friend.

Alternatives: Run the device on a XP or Vista computer. You might get 7 to run in compatibility mode to run your device but you will not be happy with the results. (What would have been the point of upgrading just to defeat the new features so you could run your printer?) If HP has not provided a driver by this time for your device, they consider this 'classic' (translation, old) and they want you to replace it with a newer device.

Can a dell 922 run on windows 7

Access the manufacturer's web-site for your Photo All-In-One:

and look at the pull-down which lists the supported Operating Systems.

If Windows 7 is not listed, then "experiment" by trying the Windows Vista device-driver.

I need a usb driver for a philips MF 440 printer. Will the MF 450 driver work OK?

Please do not post personal information on this web site ... first, it is dangerous from a privacy point of view - second, it is a violation of the terms of use which you agreed to when you posted your question. Thank you.

With respect to your question, you don't give any hint as to the OS you are using ... this is an important clue to answering your question.

Generally speaking, later versions of Windows have all the drivers required for contemporary devices. Generally speaking, legacy or 'classic' devices stop being supported at some point.

You need to find out if your device is supported by the OS and the Platform you are using. If you are using a PC with Windows OS, go here and review the hardware and software compatability list for your OS: Here you will find what works with what. If your device is listed for your particular OS (Operating System) it will be so indicated, and you are in luck. If your device is not listed, it is not supported. If it is not supported, you will generally NOT find a driver for it. Time to replace the device.

I want to download a free software for hp laserjet p2015dn printer and install it on a windows 7 laptop but am failling.

The first thing you must do is check the Windows 7 Hardware compatability list to see if the device is supported. There is no short cut for this ... here is the link

If your device is listed you will probably be able to get a driver either from within 7 itself or from HP.

If you don't find your device listed, it is very likely there is no driver for this printer to run under Windows 7.

At that point your options are very limited. You can appeal to Microsoft to support the device; you can appeal to HP to write a driver; You can learn to write a driver yourself; you can seek 3rd party support.

It may be time to update your printer or get a second computer that supports the printer for your printing needs.

Moved psc 1350 from old computer to my new computer. Missing installation disc and the director program did not install.

Please verify your equipment is in the Windows compatability list (search same for link). If listed or not, you will find instructions there. If not listed, visit HP at for a driver. They may or may not support this device. You can always make a special request for support. If enough people demand it, they will support it if possible. There is the possibility of a 3rd party driver from ?

Alternatively, you can return your old computer to service and make it a print server with your printer attached on your network.

Need lexmark x5150 software download for windows 7

First check the microsoft compatability list to see if your printer is supported. If it is listed, 7 should drive it. Find the list at

Failing that, visit - search your printer to find your driver ... not listed, your options become: 3rd party driver (hard to find), e-mail Lexmark (easy to do), replace the device or run it on a non Windows 7 computer and share it on your network.
