Installed a rth6350 now no power

The RTH6350 is a battery-powered thermostat. Did you correctly install the AA batteries? Press down and pull the battery holder away from the thermostat on the right hand side. Try new batteries. Did you remember to secure the C wire with a wire nut and push it back into the wall. It should not be connected to the thermostat.

If you connected the C wire, you may have damaged the thermostat by providing too much current. Honeywell has the documentation for the RTH6350 on the product page: http://yourhome.honeywell.com/home/Products/Thermostats/5-2-Day-Programmable/RTH6350D.htm . The installation guide is here: https://customer.honeywell.com/request.cfm?form=69-2416ES . See page 23 and subsequent pages for the wiring diagrams.

I hope this helps.

Overflow on floor

The problem you're having can be caused by a couple things.

1. The float valve in the top of the water collection bucket is broken or is stuck in the Down position.
Remove the bucket, and inspect the float valve for damage or sticking. If it's stuck in the DOWN
position, jiggle the arm of the float valve, to make it works freely.

2. The water collection bucket is not installed properly and water is leaking out the back of the
top of the bucket. When installing the bucket, be sure it's installed "squarely" into the bucket
holder from top to bottom and making firm contact with the bucket safety removal switch on the
rear wall of the bucket holder.

I hope this helps you to troubleshoot and solve the problem. Thanks for choosing FixYa.

My dehumidifier starts up as soon as the compressor clicks on the bucket full light comes on and shuts the unit off

The problem you're having is generally caused by the bucket not being installed properly. So, when the unit starts the vibration dislodges the bucket just enough that it loses contact with the Bucket Safety Removal Switch and the FULL light comes on and the unit stops

When installing the bucket, be sure that it fits "squarely" into the holder from top to bottom and makes firm contact with the bucket safety removal switch, on the rear wall of the bucket holder. When installed properly, the bottom of the bucket should not tilt down at all.

I hope this helped you and thanks for choosing FixYa.

Hi, we have an older model Goldstar. It shows on the inside label Model DH40. Is this a dehumidifier? We would appreciate a response. It has a holding container which we assume collects water. Please...

Yes, you have a 40 pint Goldstar Dehumidifier. The holding tan., also referred to as a bucket fits into the bucket holder on the front of the unit. When installing it, be sure it fits "squarely" in to the holder from top to bottom. The bottom should not tilt down at all, when installed properly. The unit will not operate without the bucket being installed properly.

Hope this helps you, Ken and thanks for choosing FixYa.

I recently purchase a house in Northern NJ and have quite a bit of Humidity in the basement. The central AC is connected to the basement but i barely run the AC because it has not gotten that hot. I am...

dehumidifier for sure!, usually a small 200$ unit will do the job. you can even hook a hose to one to drain it so you dont have to empty the bucket all the time. as for your house, when its raining hard outside, walk around you house and see if there is any areas where water is going in beside a wall. also long eavestrough pipes away from the house helps alot
