I'm not sure that the set can handle the speed, but make sure that the sync pulse is on the green when you make the connection. Also, you must use the component input not the composite. IF hte picture ends up being purple, you will need ot change the set from YPrPb to RBG as well.
WS-65809?, if convergence is skewed and comes and goes, uses two of the STK-392-570 CONVERGENCE IC chips.
I
have seen a lot of the Mitsubishi sets that use these two chips where
the convergence jumps in and out. You need to replace both chips and
adjust the set.
You can buy a pair of the chips on EBAY for less than 13 dollars plus shipping.
I HAVE START TO FINISH, STEP BY STEP INSTRUCTIONS FOR THIS REPAIR IN THE SETS THAT USE THESE TWO CHIPS.
If
you or someone you know can do the repair you can save the set and a
lot of money--most shops are going to get at least 300 for this kind of
repair--I know as I have done hundreds of them here.
The
instructions tell you everything you will need and how to do the
repair. I have helped many people here do this based on my instructions.
If you want the instructions let me know and I will either post them here or send them to you.
If this information has helped you, rate this solution as I do this here for FREE.
Its either the Blue CRT or the Blue CRT drive Board which is causing the lines, More probalble would be the Resistors on the CRT board. I would recomend unsoldering one side of each resistor on the Blue CRT drive and lifting that end up out of circuit and checking, one may be open which would cause that symptom
