Vibration when diving

Your vibration can be from several different things:
Brake rotors warped, Tire out of balance, lugnuts loose, etc.
The most common reason would be a tire has thrown a weight creating the shimmy. Go to your local tire dealer (i would suggest Les Schwab) they can check it out for free, and usually balance for free too.....

Borrow sewing machine from sister unsure how to thread it correctly and when i do the thread fromthe needle keeps breaking when i try to sew its a brother XL-5130 sewing machine and i know nothing on how...

you need to go to this webpage http://welcome.solutions.brother.com/bsc/public/us/us_ot/en/doc/manual_index.html?reg=us&c=us_ot&lang=en&prod=hf_xl5130eus&dlid=&flang=English&type2=-1 and download the instruction manual for this model. It has the threading up instructions plus selecting stitches, winding a bobbin etc.

The thread breaking is most likely due to incorrect threading up of the top thread. I suggest that if you can, you print out the manual, put into a little folder and place beside the machine and refer to it often. Follow the instructions in it on winding a bobbin, putting it into the bobbin case correctly and threading up the top thread. Make sure the bobbin goes into the case the correct way, as per image.

Remember, ALWAYS THREAD UP TOP THREAD WITH THE PRESSURE FOOT RAISED, this keeps the tension discs open so the thread can seat into the tension device correctly. And you must get the bobbin thread into the tension spring fully and then place the bobbin case into the shuttle using the little latch so it stays in place.

Also, new needle for every new project, and put the needle in "flat shank to the back". It will take standard domestic sewing machine needles 705/130H but it is important to select the correct sized needle for the fabric you are sewing so that the needle can penetrate the fabric but not leave big holes. So for light weights like chiffon you want a size 60 or 70. For medium weights a size 80 and for heavy fabric like denim or a coat weight wool you would use size 100. Ball points for stretch fabrics so that the needle pushes between the fibres and a regular point for woven fabrics.

I trust this helps you out, 4 thumbs up if so. Thank you.

When putting truck in reverse 2001 yukon sle clunk noise in transfer case

double check u-joints before suspecting internal problem with transfeer case. Coupling between transmission and transfeer case could be worn, as well as rear slip joint on tail shaft. If not rebuilding the transfeer case yourself, get plenty of refferences before hiring some one to overhall transfercase. InMrFixIt

Can you tell me what kind of thread should be used with my Brother XL 2600? I can't seem to download the manual online.

If you go to this site and read the manual online go to page 28 it will tell you what thread to use with what fabric. It would not let me copy/paste

Scroll past the "download the document" go to "table of contents" click on view all then scroll down to fabric/thread/needle combinations click on it and it will bring you to the page.....

http://www.retrevo.com/pdf/18806dj992/30/FABRIC%2C+THREAD%2C+AND+NEEDLE+COMBINATIONS#q=Brother+XL-2600

Essentially
60-80 weight thread for medium and light weight fabrics
50 for heavy weight
50-60 for stretch
30 for top stitching

hope this helps lew

The touchscreen on my Tom Tom is cracked. Can this be repaired?

To my experience, Tomtom will NOT repair broken screens, not even if offered to pay for the repair. They have been very stern on this in the past and I would be very surprised if the policy has changed (asking never hurts, though).
They have been known to offer a discount on a new purchase in cases like this, though.

As it is, you own an expensive paper weight, sorry for the bad news.

Specs and oil capacity

Most owners of the old Ironheads try to use the oils that were used when they were built. They use straight 50 weight when the weather is cold and 60 weight when temps are hot. But, one could use 10W50 oil in them. I would not use synthetic as any oil leaks will intensify with the use of synthetic oil. The XLH, XLX, and XLS tanks hold three quarts with the exception of the XR1000 which hold two quarts.

HOW MUCH WEIGHT WILL CRESSI SUB FLEX BCD INTERNAL POCKETS HOLD??

I have integrated weight pockets, and i am also a cold water dry suit diver (IE: much more weight is needed) and i have never had a problem with the integrated weight pockets not being able to handle the weight. (now they person you talked to at the company was right, most trim pockets cant handle more then 4 pounds.) you may want to give Dive Rite (Trek Wings) a try... that is what i have and i will never buy another BCD... Trek Wings by Dive Rite give you more maneuverability and is trusted by tech, wreck, and cave divers. i also prefer them as a instructor... I have seen Cressi BCD's in action before, but i have never really been impressed.
