It means it's time to get the oil changed. It should be at 100% after it is changed and it will decrease over the mileage you drive to let you know it's getting close to change.

Also, after you have had it change and it still says 0%. Press and hold the check button to reset the counter. (Note: Only reset the meter when you are sure that your oil life IS NOT 0%, this will help with false readings.).

60% oil life then goes down to 0% oil life on a 2011 chevy impala

the PCM brain does all that magic
the life is based on may factors (an actual equation)

start ups cold, count. or hot. engine.
city miles or high way miles
engine overheated times
or if out door air (ambient) is -60f or 120F?
if AC cold HVAC is used.
and TIME. (oil may be deamed bad at 6 months (IDK)
idling times
allowed to misfire and not do a tune up can change this.
and more, ask Chevy this, directly.
if confused get the car serviced and checked out, and fully scanned for DTC errors,
is the PCV valve clogged up,
does it burn lots of oil.
does oil get dirty fast?
you never said how many miles you run your oil ? 6k ,10k,20k ,more?

What does it mean when the wrench pops up and the message pops up that says oil life 15% on a 2007 Honda Accord SE sedan?

It is probably telling you that the oil needs changing soon. The wrench is telling you it needs service and the 15% is probably stating you have 15% of life in the oil left, with 0% being the oil has to be changed. Most newer cars recommend the oil is changed every 3000 mi or 3 mo.

What does it mean when oil life on car says 38%? just had oil change a week ago.

Hello, my name is Ben. I am thinking the person who changed your oil probably didn't reset the oil life. How many miles was it between this most recent oil change and the previous one?

TPMS on 2006 Chevy Impala

I have an 05 impala and there is a setting in the Radio to reset the oil life and TPMS system, I'd look in the owners manual to see how to access this feature on the 06 but it should be there.
