Has it been oiled recently? Clear out any fluff (lint) and use special sewing machine oil. Look at your user's manual for the correct points to oil. Hope this helps.

Pfaff expression 100th Anniversary

have it serviced as the needle timing may be out causing the needle to hit the bobbin hook

Hi my thread is looping in a big mess on the bottom of the fabric when I sew. Everything seems to be running smoothly, the machine isn't making strange noises or anything, but the thread is very loose

Hand operate the machine while looking at the lower bobbin. Maybe there is a rough spot that is snagging the thread as it tries to loop around. If so, then nail file it until it is smooth again.

My futura machine keeps every few seconds and stops sewing, what the problem

this was my first problem - if youhave had a "birdsnest" you probably damaged the bobbin case - take it out and run your finger aroundthe outside edge . You will probabaly find a nick where the needle has crashed down on the bobbin case. If you can sand it smooth it may start pulling the thread around the bobbin again. Twice I have had to replace the bobbin case. It is cheap just google on the internet. Now I have a spare if anything happens. I also found if you stick to the embroidery threads and not try to use up old or cheap thread it will run more smoothly.

The handwheel is extremely hard to turn. I've already removed plate and cleaned out threads and stuff but that didn't help. I've also removed bobbin holder from inside. Thank you.

If its that hard to turn its needing service. Oiling and lubrication are so important to a smooth running unit. If its that hard to turn the only solution may be to get it into a store for repairs.

Brother sewing machine - Galaxie 8015, running rough and loud.

Oil every moving part. Clean out all the lint (Air cans are wonderful for this) and change the needle, If that fails...get a tune up from a professional.

Loud noise while sewing

Could you let us know which machine this is.....

In the meantime....the damaged bobbin is not good, replace it/them........if you have a top loading drop-in bobbin, check for needle damage on the plastic bobbin case (remove needleplate to access).

If there is evidence of needle strikes, if mild, you could try to use very fine wet & dry emery paper to smooth, if severe, buy a new bobbin case.

There may be a load of lint under and around the bobbin case too, remove and clean up this area. If very dirty, use methylated spitit on cloth or cottonbud (QTip) to remove grime (don't soak)
