Question about Sony Ericsson W910i Cellular Phone
Possibe accumulation of dirt in the front panel or damage to the pad switches. You will need to open the phone and check on the board, clean and set them , use some methy spirit to wash carefully the accumulated dirt . check the specified pads carefully for any damage to the tracks.
If this wont help must confirm if the interface IC is defective.

software fault best thing to do is flash the phone with new software.
