Hi, just wondering if someone can help our washing machine seems to develop a puddle of water around the front and after a wash there are drips running down the front panel. Just wondering what would be...

You could have a bad seal somewhere. Then again, you could be using the wrong type or amount of detergent. Newer models use new detergent formulated with low suds. They also need less detergent per load. Brand and model would be good information to add.front load washer 25362436-awph1b3yhxdrnyqdcrsrelkr-3-0.jpg

The arm controls the Flush Valve. Inside the flush valve is a black rubber "seal" that closes the end of the fill pipe and stops the water. If a piece of sand, grit, or small rock gets imbedded in the seal it will allow water to pass through even when the tank is full. Either you take apart the flush valve and remove the grit, or you replace the whole valve. Sometimes even when the grit is removed the rubber seal is damaged and must be replaced. A new valve, and some of these replacement seals can be purchased at a good hardware or plumbing supply store. Use the valve handle, below the tank, on the pipe that comes through the wall, to turn off the water before replacing the seal or valve.

Hotpoint washer/dryer wd440 door wont open stopped mid cycle

  • Disconnect the washing machine from the mains supply
  • The door seal is held in place on the door frame by a thin metal clamp band. This band is held in place at the top of the door seal with two plastic halves that clip together. To remove, insert a flat bladed screwdriver between the two halves and gently lever or prize them apart and then unpeel the door seal from the door frame
  • Remove the soap dispenser drawer
  • Remove the timer knob and control panel
  • Undo the 3 screws that were behind the control panel and the 3 screws at the base of the front panel under the door
  • Remove and carefully place the front panel to one side
  • The pressure chamber bottle is attached to the bottom of the tub at the end of the small rubber tubing coming from the door interlock. Remove it and thoroughly clean it out, paying attention to the small hole where the rubber tubing is attached
Warning: The pressure system is how the washing machine controls the water levels. Disturbing it can cause water leaks, or even overfilling and flooding if the job isn't done properly.

Leaks water when washing from the door

It's because of a hole in the door seal body. The water runs down inside the machine and comes under the front of the washing machine

For this first unplugged and then take the top off the washer and there is usually a nut and bolt to undo which is holding a clamp band round the door seal fixing it to the tub.
many cases where the water runs down from the bottom of the door but has in fact come from the soap dispenser but the leak was coming from the door.A thin line of water trickles from the soap dispenser and runs round the door frame to appear as a door seal leak. Make sure this isn't the case.
Thanks.

GE Top load washer.

Hello rschneeweis
Welcome,

Sounds like a seal or drain hose is leaking or the clamp on a hose has vibrated loose.

Water leaking out the bottom of the machine when washing machine begins agitation cycle. If the machine is turned off the water stops leaking even with the tub full of water.

Let me know if you found it and how you do.

WATER COMING OUT FROM DOOR AND DRAWER

On this washer  the seal was replaced ?Did it stop leaking after the seal was put in ? Front load hatch on this is in front area located on the bottom(base).Remove the front  to gain access and you can now reach the pump and  look for any blockage. After  you have found and removed the blockage, run the washer again and if any water leaks remain call your local  servicer .You may have a bad front boot (seal) or its just loosened and it need to be re- tightened.Any water leak should be repaired ASAP so you dont have even more damage to the machine and your home.If the repairman cant stop the leak on his first visit than have the Boot replaced on his second visit.
