Shut off the airconditioner for half an hour and then try it on.
If you get the message, it can be that the fan motor or the compressor motor is not working.
Check to see if the capacitor of the fan or the compressor is bad and not letting it start up.
Sometimes if the fault has occurred while running then it can be voltage protection due to a surge.

E1-Automatic filter clean reminder.

Turn the air conditioner OFF and unplug it. NOTE: The air conditioner must be unplugged for the automatic filter clean timer to reset.

Clean the filter. See the Care and Cleaning section in your use&care manual. After cleaning, replace the filter and plug the air conditioner back in.

Flashing E1 -cleaned filter still have msg


clean the coil remove the filter and use a spray bottle with a little cleaner diluted bleach/water mix or a cleaner like widex and spray the coils from top to bottom dont wipe the coils will cause other problems just spray a few times to get the dirt/dust clogging the coils free than rinse with water not a lot use a spray bottle turn on fan and let run for a few than turn off and replace filter and try unit

These little units should be pretty straight forward. There is a little collection bin for the water that has to be emptied in order for it to work. Make sure that is emptied to start with and as you run the unit you will have to empty it periodically when full or it will only blow with the fan. Hope this helps YAFIXIT 2RNS4U (

The screen is flashing E1


I was told the filter needs to be cleaned.
Turn the air conditioner OFF and unplug it.The air conditioner must be unplugged for the automatic filter clean timer to reset. Clean the filter. After cleaning, replace the filter and plug the air conditioner back in.

E1 error on Danby is to clean or replace air filter. Check that filter is properly installed as that may also cause the error.
