I have computer with wireless on it. I bought a HP desk jet printer f4580 which also has wireless. Is it possible to connect them without using any other equipment? I can get my laptop to recognize the HP wireless but it won't print to it. Also it will print using a USB cable. I want to print wirelessly.

This advises me that the problem requires further hardware. I'm happy with that.

I dont think this will be possible ..but you can try by activating the wireless on the printer ..than to search for devices with the computer ..or run the connectivity wizard ..
The idea for wireless into the printer ..is to connect it to a network ...Infact to a wireless router where more than one computer is connected and being in the default gateway of the mini network ...all computers can search for it and add it as default printer ..and so used it by all computers in the router ..no matter if they are connected to the lan ports or wireless..the issue is to be on a shared connection ..
so ..the idea to connect it via the wireless cards..is not that believable ...I never heard about things like that ..I did though heard about 2 laptops sharing files that way ..so it might be possible and its worth to try ..the idea is to activate one ...and to search it by its name with the other's card....

I need to instal hp f4580 office jet series

1 Go to hp.com 2 Click on Support and Drivers 3 Enter your product name or number, in this case just type in Officejet f4580 All-In-One 4 Hit go 5 Choose your operating system 6 Hit Next 7 Click on the link that says Driver - Product Installation Software 8 Save it to your desktop

If your printer no longer has a driver in the website. Try plugging it with a USB Cable and your Windows 7 should automatically install it.

Need to install my hp F4580 printer to my new net book...cannot use CD is there any other way?

Hello,

I have two options that I can recommend for you.

1. Download the HP F4580 from the Hp website.

Here's the link: Click Here F4580 PRINTER DRIVER ...

It will take you to a screen which looks like this:

Select your operating system running in your netbook. Then select driver.. Then run it. Then follow the on screen instructions. After the installation, your printer will print.

2. The second option is to use an external dvd/cd drive. It could be connected to your netbook by using a usb cord. You can buy it from any computer stores..

I hope this helps.

Wireless printing impossible . How can I solve it?

Hi Paul,

Am sorry to be the bearer of bad news but your printer is not a wireless printer by default. If you would like to be able to print wirelessly and have a bluetooth connection on your laptop/desktop, you have the option of buying an adapter.

The HP bt300 wireless printer adapter uses Bluetooth wireless technology allowing you to print without using a cable. In general, Bluetooth wireless technology is a short range wireless technology that allows connection between devices without requiring a cable. By using your HP bt300, printing is possible from a camera phone, PDA, digital camera, or computer (currently to a computer using the Windows operating system only) to selected HP printers.

Unfortunately, this adapter runs about 145-153$ not including shipping or handling. Am probably giving myself a two star rating by saying this, but your best bet might be to just purchase a wireless printer. I have a wireless 3-in-1 (scan/fax/print) that I bought for about 120$ and it works like a dream. Check out your local Office Depot or Best Buy and take a look.

Hope this helps!

Problem with hp deskjet 3920

If your printer connects to your PC with a USB cable, there is a specific sequence. Some setup programs want the USB cable connected after the driver is installed, others want it connected first. Try reinstalling the driver and pay close attention to the setup instructions.

Trying to connect desk top computer and lap top computer

There is only two ways to possibly connect both the desktop and the laptop in the network. That is to purchase a router so you can connect them both or a route with a wireless and then the laptop (Which most new ones have a wireless capability installed) can connect wireless from anywhere in the home. If you already have a Cable or DSL Modem it may have a wireless capability. Otherwise you would have to get a wireless modem. Hope this helps. Bud
