If you dont have a electronic air cleaner you could try connecting the blower to your eac terminal (wich stands for electonic air filter) on the board but if your board is out you might not have power to eac either and you will only be able to run a single speed but that is a about the only thing to do to have the motor still controled by the board i hope my suggestion helps

becareful with the board you can easily fry it if you touch the wrong wires together

My Gigabyte GA 945GM S2 Mother Board Staring & Turning Off After Few Seconds. At start time CPU Fan starts with a blinking. Whats the Problem?

Hello here is the gigabyte homepage:

http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=2331&dl=1#manual

Try to download the manual.

The fault could be the power supply, try to renew that.

Try also to renew the thermal paste, between the cooling element and the cpu, and make sure the fan and the cooling element is clean for dust.

The fault could also be a defect ram module.

Any beep codes ???
Or blue screen ???

Good luck

System cooling problem

Hello there,

No this is normal for a fan to speed up or slow down. It all depends on what the CPU is doing. FOr example, if its doing lots of graphics (3D gaming etc) then it gets hotter and the fan speeds up to cool it.

If your worried you can use a heat monitor to check if things are ok. You have an intel motherboard?? If so go here to download a monitor: http://www.intel.com/design/motherbd/active.htm

If your unsure about the motherboard (or you dont know if you already have a heat monitor) then try this one: http://www.majorgeeks.com/download.php?det=311

I hope this helps you, and if it does let me know by rating this answer.

Thank you so much for sending me those parts, and an extra thanks for the extras. Which happens to be what I needed to fix my problem. You won't believe it... I got your well-packaged parts today. I soon replaced the Motherboard, no change, still the same HELLO... I was so deceived... Then, I decided to replace the Power Supply, just in case... IT WORKED!... (thanks for sending me a free power supply)... Looking at my power supply, I can see that on the printed circuit under those 3 diodes, near the transformer, is an area that seems to have overheated. I will test it and give you the results eventually, as well as the results and solution if I can fix the DVD burner. I'll use the extra fan you so generously gave me to cool the power supply, seems like it won't hurt. Though I have to place it right, or it'll make the problem worse... Seems like anything wrong with this DVR and all it'll do is display HELLO... I've heard of a bad DVD Burner, a bad Motherboard and now a bad Power Supply that causes the HELLO... Thank you so very much GSAN, you did it... I recommend you to everyone out there for your fairness, kindness and devotion. We should call you Mr. FixYa!...
