Question about Sony PlayStation Portable (PSP) Console
A screen poped up saying "a serious error has occurred.contact the technical support line for assistence." What should i do?
Try to reboot your psp (turn it off for 5 secs, then turn it on again).normally it should be working just fine.if not, remove battery and put it in,then reboot again psp.if no dice still, use a different working memory stick pro duo (borrow or use your backup ms),and chances are it should work granting there's no major hardware malfunction in which case if it is still covered by warranty, you can bring it in for repair.now,if you're encountering the problem only when loading the game, the issue probably is with the game.check a different game and see if it'll work,if it does, your game or application has issues and not the psp.no guarantees, hope this helps.

a 6ya Technician can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repair professionals here in the US.
click here to Talk to a Technician (only for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

If your in the USA, I suggest for the best thing to do is Call Sony Support. You can call them, at 1 800 345 7669, its real easy.
You may try removing the battery for about 3 minutes, then booting it back up. Are you running a certain UMD when this happens?
