Question about Computers & Internet
DHCP: Domain Host Computer Protozoic. Basically an Address serving device, a "Client" "Asks" the DHCP "Server" for an "Address" on the network it is communicating on. THe DHCP Server, then sends that particular "Client" the ADDRESS, which, the device then "Stores" and Can then be identified by and Identify with that address when required.
Basically it is a Name Giver, and Finder.
DNS: Is Domain Name Server, Similar to a DHCP server, but in this case the device Translate Words and letters into an address, so the the DHCP server and other numerical only devices, can Ask for and Receive from "Other " "Addresses", that were described initially as Word Address, EG: WWW.Address.com, translates to (just say), 123.456.678:90.
If a device cannot "Understand" the Alphanumeric Address is then "Asks: the DNS, server, to "Translate" it into a "Numerical" one, that it can understand.
Basically it is a Translator.
TCP/IP: Transmission Control Protocol, Over, the Internet Protocol. It is basically a encryption algorithm, applied to all/any signals, that is then, introduced to, and transmitted to, and received over, the Internet Protocol signal, (Internet Standards of Operation) The Signal the internet operates "On". It is the bench mark, the correct way of doing it, a set of Rules.
Basically a Encryption vehicle and set of rules & standards.
