I couldn't find any other reports of this problem, but it will concern something in the electro-magnetic resistance circuit that is failing.
It could be the controller, the wiring to the electro-magnet, or the electro-magnet itself. The unit will have to be troubleshot to figure it out, thus partially disassembled, at any rate. You could start by measuring the voltage to the electro-magnet, and then go from there- that would be a good starting point. Here is Tunturi's support website, and they may have some handy information or help for you concerning your problem:
Good luck, thanks for using FixYa, and hope this helps.

Power issues with
Tunturi C6 fit into two categories: the power does not turn on or the power shuts off when using the Tunturi C6. If the power will not turn on, make sure that the Tunturi C6 is plugged into a working power outlet. In addition, you should use a single-outlet surge protector for the Tunturi C6 . Single-outlet surge protectors protect the machine from any voltage changes that may occur in your home.

If the machine is plugged into a working outlet, make sure the safety key is in the keyhole on the console. If the safety key is not plugged into the machine or if it is pulled out during operation, the
Tunturi C6 will not operate.

Finally, make sure the circuit breaker located on the frame near the power cord is set to "Reset." The circuit breaker is set to "Reset" if the top of the button is pushed in. When the breaker is tripped, push it back to the "Reset" position and wait five minutes before powering on the
Tunturi C6.

If the
Tunturi C6 shuts off during operation, check the power cord and circuit breaker as described above. You can also try removing and reinserting the safety key.

Take care.

Check power problems if the console on the elliptical machine does not light up. Make sure that the plug for the machine is secure in the outlet. If it is plugged in, ensure that the outlet is receiving power. Check the breaker to make sure it has not tripped off.
Be sure that you are using the correct adapter that came with the elliptical machine. Because different adapters are able to handle differing amounts of energy, the wrong adapter will not transfer electricity like it should. If the adapter is pinched or damaged, this could also alter its effectiveness.

  • 2 Make sure the correct adapter is being used if the resistance settings seem to be too hard or too easy. If the correct adapter is being used, reset the machine. To reset the machine, either switch the "On/Off" button or unplug the machine from the wall. Doing this will allow the device to reset itself to the default resistance. Turn on or plug the device back into the wall and retry all of the levels of resistance.

Do not be concerned if you see small particles left on the guide rails. Over time, the roller wheels gradually wear down. When this occurs, they leave residue on the rails. Because this is considered to be normal wear, all you need to do to fix the problem is wipe the rails off with a damp cloth.

Minimize the risk of receiving erratic readouts on the monitors by avoiding outside interference. For example, gripping the heart rate handlebars too tightly can affect the monitor. Similarly, the heart rate grips can be rendered less effective when there is too much vibration. Consider not holding these monitors throughout the workout to minimize vibration. The readouts also can be affected by jewelry. To minimize errors, take off rings and other jewelry before working out on an elliptical machine.

How to use the Proform 515S EKG Elliptical?

To mount the elliptical trainer, firmly hold the handlebars or the T-handle and carefully step onto the pedal that is in the lowest position. Next, step onto the other pedal. Push the pedals until they begin to move with a continuous motion. Note: The pedal disks can turn in either direction. It is recommended that you turn the pedal disks in the direction shown below; however, to give variety to your exercise, you may choose to turn the pedal disks in the opposite direction.
To dismount the elliptical trainer, allow the pedals to come to a complete stop. CAUTION: The elliptical trainer does not have a free wheel; the pedals will continue to move until the flywheel stops. When the pedals are stationary, step off the highest pedal first. Then, step off the lowest pedal.
As you exercise, you can adjust the resistance of the pedals with the resistance knob on the console. To increase the resistance, turn the knob clockwise; to decrease the resistance, turn the knob counterclockwise.
