Question about Samsung YP-K3 MP3 Player
My Samsung YP-K3 isnt being read when I plug it in and I have tried Downloading new software and asked Micosoft Trubleshoot but nothing helped.
I have a couple solutions.
A: If it is only recognized as a a generic USB device, try updating your Windows Media Player to something more recent. It surprisingly works msot of the time, and doesn't take too long.
B: Press the reset button on the back of the MP3 player (in a tiny hole on the back of the device; poke it with a needle or the like. Don't worry, it won't erase your files!) That should set it to factory default configuration, and sometimes works.
C: The firmware on the device might be corrupt. EXTREMELY common in these MP3 players, and you might be out of luck. Symptoms include mismanaging of your files on the device (multiple dividers of the same artist), random pixelation on the screen, 'permanent-lock', and complete malfunction. If this is the case, invest in a new MP3 player. For future reference, always remove the MP3 player after AND ONLY AFTER you have used the 'safely remove hardware' window to remove the device, and make sure you do not remove it when files or information is being transferred to or from the computer.
