You can download your drivers from the web site of the brand name like Hp.com, Dell.com or Acer.com, free of cost in support and download section by giving the model No. of your laptop.
you can get help from google.com by typing the name/model of your laptop and audio driver in search option

the drivers might need to be a 32x 64x or check with the product sightand look for pruduct support / drivers-downloads check for you model type and re-download drivers and install but before installing remove drivers previously installed. hope this helps
i'm using the Compaq795TU model laptop with windows Xp as an operating system. I had the problem in my OS, hence i formatted the system. But atlast i found that i dont have a back up copy of sound and modem drivers. Please help me in getting the drivers
