The fuse flipped because there was a big current thru it. Since the only thing that was powered thru that fuse was your Wii that means it was the one that caused that. The only way a Wii would draw so much power is when its power source is shorted - your Wii has failed. If you take it to a repair shop they might be able to fix it - but i doubt it it, at least not for a reasonable price.
Your console is dead as a dodo, junk it and buy a new one.

Hello,

its obvious that the fuse is the cause of the problem, since it was working before the fuse flipped.

Do a fuse replacement and your WII should turn on again.

Take care.

    Hello,

i just hope the fuse that flipped hasn't affected the power board of your Wii. The wii certainly has a fuse and you will have to open the wii in order to gain access to the fuse inside it.

The this problem is a power related fault. So go ahead and check the fuse on the power board of your wii.

Also, don't overlook the AC adapter. Maybe the AC adapter is defective, that's why it not powering the wii. I would advice that you borrow a wii adapter and test with your wii. test the adapter before checking the fuse inside the wii

    Good luck.

Not powering up

It could be the fuse in your power plug box. My fuse blew in mine when I went to Switzerland I just bought a cheap one on ebay for around 9 bucks at the time that'll work over seas as well. If you have a friend with a wii try their power cord on yours.

We can't get our wii to turn on. Our electricity went out this morning for just a second, but the wii was not on. But, now it won't come on at all.

Try a diffrent outlet or check your Breaker box and see if the breaker got fliped.

If that dosn't work make sure all the wires in the back of the console are plugged into a working electric socket on the wall. If it's still not working, contact Nintendo Hardware Issues Department and they'll be sure to send you a new one (although it may take up to a couple weeks).

The wii console its not turning on !!

Make sure the batteries are not dead in the controllers for turning it on.
Next, check all plugs on the console to make sure theyre pluged it all the way if any. Try it again, if it still doesnt work, check to see if your warranty expired yet. Most likely it hasnt. Next call nintendo for support and see if you may have to ship it in. Whatever is wrong with it right now, is nothing that cant be fixed or replaced.
You can also try using a different power adapter to see if thats the problem. If its not turning on, or no lights are, obviously not enough power is getting to the WII. Sometimes the fuse in the power adapters plug in can blow, check that and replace it if needed.

Trying to connect nintendo wii to philips tv

If I have the right manual you should connect the wii cable from the package to th backside of the tv. You will see four pluges. Choose with VGA you want to use, this is not important. Use the cable from the wii and plug in two of three pluges, you must match te coulors. If you have a cable box installed you will probably have scart (a big cable with a large head) connect this and it would run smooth. You can also connect the three pluges from the cable to your cable-box, use the red, wihte, and yellow pluge.
