Hi there,

My name is Mike. A couple times a day I go looking around to give some pointers to our clients (you).

Look at it your question from our point of view, Your problem is a vacuum that isn't heating food? With potentially thousands of problems for each product, and thousands of products, at this point no one here has a clue what the problem is related to much less how to help you. We need a little more info.

More is better:

If you are serious about getting an answer, include Make, Model of the product that's misbehaving and what type of product it is.

Describe your problem clearly, concisely and with as much detail as possible.

For future reference:
Often, a problem can be the result of a seemingly unrelated event. It is always a good idea to include a recent history.

Additional information such as what steps have already been taken, has the product ever worked, is it new, etc. can have a bearing on providing the best solution for your particular circumstances.

Remember, you are a key participant in this process. We are not there, you are. We depend on you to be our eyes and ears. We can only respond to what you provide us. Without you, all our talent is worthless. How's that for an ego build?

What you get out of the experience depends on what you put in to it. So help us help you.

It would be also be advantageous in your case to repost your problem so that it is correctly categorized and starts over at the top of the queue. This way it can be directed to someone with expertise in the area you need. They may have the manual memorized. Who knows?

Best regards

Mike

If there is an expiration date, it probably is encoded in the product ID.

Microwave cooking time tip

Do not be in a rush to eat the food when your buzzer sounds. Remember, that the way the microwave functions is to let the food sit for a few minutes when it is done cooking. The food continues cooking and distributes the heat evenly throughout your food. Test for doneness after the standing time.

It won't seal it doesn't get hot it vacuums ok

There is a heating element in your unit that seals the bags. Most of the units you cannot replace the heating element. The company is pretty good about warrantying the units. They go by the number on the plug to tell if the unit is still in warranty. Give them a call. 877-777-8042

Microwave functions normally apart from heating food, fan runs and table rotates but heating does not occur.

A blown fuse near the magnetron will cause that no heating. However, if the fuse is good a magnetron tube is already defective, hence no heating with normal operation on other function.
Replace magnetron tube with similar rating and size.
Thanks for asking.

The aluminum pot that goes in my rice cooker has started leaking after 16-18 years. Is there any fix? Is it trash. I doubt I can find a replacement pot. Thanks for your time.

i cannot think of any repair, that would work on thin aluminium and be safe for food preparation. (not that i would eat from afterwards anyway).
if it leaks, it is almost certainly too thin to weld.
i would not trust soldering/brazing with the heat.
chemical sealers/glues are not suitable for food prep items.

i am sorry, but i think it has cooked its last meal

Everything works on this microwave, the problem is when its switched on and were trying to heat food etc its not heating the food

Please be extremelly careful with microwaves, they produce radiation. My best advise is to take it to a repaar shop and ask for a quote. Microwaves are so cheap nowadays that maybe is better to buy a new one if the repair cost over 50% of the price of a new one.

Kenmore microwave model #665.61612100 is buzzing and not heating any food. what is the cause?

It sound as though the magnitron is going. This is basically the heart of the whole unit. It will cost the same to replace the part as it will to replace the unit.
