Question about Cell Phones
My wife & I both have Samsung phones. Mine the 229,hers 239. Hers dropped in a puddle a couple months ago, & after almost 3 hours of taking it apart & drying it with cotton swabs and alcohol I got it working again. Well it happened again but this time I used a stuff called Silica. Lots of companies, when shipping goods, throw a small packet of silica into the box.You may recognize it as a little envelope about 1" or a white little cylinder about the same size. Most are filled with small tiny white beads in a little square flat bag. You may have seen this B4.
This is used to prevent any moisture from ruining the product during shipping. Most flower shops carry it. It's used to dry out flowers. You can try your local flower shop or get a small rechargeable tin.
I found some at this address on the net. .
What you do is put the silica container in a large closed ziploc bag. Remove the battery and sim card (if any) from your phone and put it in the bag with the silica. Put the bag in a warm dry place.
If you think about it,what would happen if you put the wet phone in a closed zip-lock bag all by itself in a warm spot? Condensation would appear on the bag. The same principle applies except the silica absorbs all the moisture in its surrounding area.
I hope this helps.

I have seen many phones get wet.I have seen many phones left out to dry overnight no matter how wet(little-lots).Not once have I seen one come back on.Sorry, just being honest.I would rather tell you that than have you try stuff that won't work anyway.
Good luck! Greg
