Hi,

There is a chance that you will be able to get back some or all of your digital photos. First things first: DO NOT take any more pictures with the memory card that you want to recover photos from. If you are away from home and will be recovering your photos at a later date, remove the memory card from your camera and put it in a safe place. If you take any more photos or save any data to your memory card, you may quite possibly ruin your chances of photo recovery.

  1. Download and install PC Inspector Smart Recovery.
  2. With the memory card inserted, connect your digital camera to your computer. Under “My Computer”, note the drive letter assigned to your camera’s memory card (usually E: or F:).
  3. Start PC Inspector Smart Recover and when it loads, set up your data recovery by:
    1. Selecting the drive letter to recover files from.
    2. Selecting a folder on your computer where the recovered files are to be saved.
  4. Now, click the “Start” button and let PC Inspector Smarty Recovery work its magic.
  5. Browse to the folder that you selected for your recovered files and check out the results of the recovery.
PC Inspector Smart Recovery may take a long time to process depending on the size of the memory card you’re scanning, but the results are worth the wait.

Goodluck..

Most likely if you deleted them they will be gone but you can try taking the card to a camera shop or store that specializes in digital cameras and see if they can get anything back off of the card but I think that you pictures may be gone but an electronics store should be able to get anything on the card off of it for you.

Please let me know if you have any further questions and good luck to you

Hello there.

All i can suggest is attempting to recover the lost files, you can use software such as http://www.runtime.org/ . This has proven successful for me in the past, so if you need your pictures back this software will make a good attempt at it.

As it is recovery software, it might be complicated to use, but we are here to assist you so if any problems just ask.

I would download the software from the web address above, it comes as a free-trial but that should be enough to see if it can recover your data.

Hope this helps

How to recover deleted photos from pentax optio w20 camera

If the photos are on a memory card and you haven't done anything to the card since erasing the photos, there's a change you may be able to recover at least some of them. Do a Google search for "data recovery software" and find a program for your computer and operating system. Put the card into a card reader connected to your computer and run the program.

Recover deleted photos

Yes, there is a way to retrieve photos from your Pentax camera.

Chances of recovery can be high as long as you act as soon as possible and stop using the digital camera to take more photos or videos, also keep the camera memory card in good shape (no physical damage).

Then you can rely on a digital camera data recovery software to get the job done and retrieve your photos. Here shows a list of good ones (for PC/Mac) http://www.digital-camera-recovery.com/

You'll need to connect the camera (mass memory card) to your computer. Then install the program to start scan & recover your files. Should be easy to get back your lost memories!

Accidentaly deleted photos on my memory card. My camera is Pentax E90

Take no more pics until you've recovered your photos, take the card out of the camera. This is to reduce the chance of you overwriting some of your "lost" photos. There are many good freeware photo recovery software options that may help you recover your photos. This article reviews and outlines several of the better ones:

Recovering deleted photos

Hi,

If these photos were formatted from a memory card and not from the internal memory of the camera, there is a reasonable chance of recovering them.

Please have a look at this FixYa Tip which outlines the possible solutions.

Thanks.

Pentax Optio M40 is not recognized by PC

Consider NOT connecting your camera to your computer.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program such as Picasa.
