I would check the defrost drain for blockage. Unless this is completely clear the defrost cycle will continue to let water run inside instead of into the pan underneath. It is easiest to work on this if the freezer is completely empty and the back panel inside is removed. While it is opened up check the defrost heaters as the lower one is more apt to have failed.
