Issue with Samsung LE32B450. After the TV has been on for about 5 minutes, when you change channel the screen goes blank and the sound goes off. However, the TV is still on as pressing the power but

Just do a hard reset to this set and check. Unplug the TV from AC mains wall socket, and re-plug it back after 10 minutes or so. This must make it a hard reset.

Samsung LN-R337D model tv. My television wont turn on, when pressing the power button the light turns on and flickers. One time when it was flickering after about 5 minutes of hearing the relay click over...

Sounds like you know more than 'regulars' like me, but I do know your answer, even if I can't be as specific as you might appreciate. It's a poor-quality power capacitor, and Samsung has extended their standard manufacturer's warranty to cover this issue, because it was really, really bad for them. We have a 46" that began doing this about 3 mos. before warranty expiration--my girlfriend bought it from h.h.Gregg, so I called them, and they gave me Samsung's tel. #. Surprisingly, Samsung not only answered, but responded, sending a repair specialist about 60 miles to us from TN (we live in Ky). I work on PCs, and this was a hefty unit, so when the 20-something kid arrived with a moving blanket to lay our TV on, I helped him balance it and lay it down for his 'operation', during which I did ask him about the nature of the problem (it had started by doing it's 'power-down', 'power-up' cycle just once, but advanced to more than 1 minute until giving out entirely, over about a month's time). The kid described it as a 'bad power capacitor', and admitted that Samsung had had some QC 'issues' with this and 'other models, too'. I've seen almost a dozen people describing this exact same 'symptom' for three or four other makes of LCD TVs, on FixYa, so...it's pretty chronic. So, hopefully Samsung will extend you the grace (period) you deserve, 'cause buying junk makes me mad, too.... Did you ever hear about one other issue with unique to Samsung TVs, though? Check this link to the 'TBE issue' ('Triple Ball Effect')--it's funny, I barely noticed it, until I read about it online--then it stood out like a sore thumb! Slow-motion replays of sports like baseball, foo-ball, soccer, and basketball can often give you a 'triple-ball' effect, almost like you're looking at the ball, but with parenthesis around it?! >>CLICK HERE

Samsung 40" LCD Built in

Samsung sold thousands of big screens with a power capacitor issue--they have issued extensions of warranties on many models covering free in-home repairs by licensed regional technicians (sometimes not where you bought the TV). I know this one--at first, the TV would just behave this way maybe twice, then stay on...later, as the problem advanced, three, four, then five, and on, until finally it would keep cycling off and on until it completely stopped working. When my girlfriends' 46" LCD Samsung finally quit, we called Best Buy, who told us to call Samsung, who then did send a technician from about 60 miles away--he had the little capacitor replaced, and the TV working, within minutes. I asked him how they could afford to do this, and he informed me that he makes runs of these jobs, scheduling perhaps a dozen in one day. So, it's chronic, yes, and they're aware of it, and fixing it--hopefully still for free! So, I'd call my dealer, see if you have to call Samsung, then if you do, then call 'em--they should still be sending out the cavalry for this issue--they caused it by using cheap, poor-quality capacitors (the replacements are 'new and improved', and we've never had an issue since).

Samsung hd LCD flatscreen is making a clicking sound and won't turn on

Got to Samsung's support site and fill out a request:
http://www.samsung.com/us/support/service/request

You will be contacted by your regional repair center. I'm located in Milwaukee, WI and was contacted by a repair center in Elgin, IL, which is 60 miles away.

The regional center said they think it probably is a electrolytic capacitor issues, as multiple models of Samsung LCD's have this issue. They have defective (too low voltage) capacitors which will eventually give out. Unfortunately he said my model was not on the list they have for a free fix. He gave me the number to Samsung's Executive Customer Relations department, which I then called immediately. The woman there checked and found that my model indeed was covered - she updated the Support Request, and instructed me to call back the regional repair center.

I called back the regional repair center (immediately after finsihing with the ECR) and got a different person on the phone, and gave them my ticket number from my original request. He said since ECR updated it stating my model was covered they would fix it for free. If it's not the capacitors that are causing the problem I will be charged a 150$ fee, plus any parts required to fix the TV. I agreed to that since my local TV repair quoted me 200$ to fix the capacitor issue alone.

Today is January 25th, they have me scheduled to have a repair tech come to my place January 7th to do the repair.

You can fix the capacitors yourself for very cheap, maybe 20-30 bucks if you don't have anything: soldering gun/solder/flux/capacitors/etc...

I'd just go through the service request path, get it fixed for free and have a professional do it. Total time for me was 2 minutes for the service request, 10 minutes on phone for regional repair center, 10 minutes for ECR, 5 minutes for regional again. The repair is expected to take 15 minutes - most likely they'll just swap out the entire power supply board rather than the individual capacitors. Basically 1 hour of time to save minimally 150-250 dollars. I bet not many people asking to fix this make 150 bucks an hour...pretty simple math I think.

When I turn on my Samsung LNT4669 it seems to make a clicking noise a few times, and goes on and off, on and off, a number of times (sometimes as long as 20 seconds) before finally turning on.

replace bad caps in power supply near connector going to main board (where the inputs are) or just replace power supply board p/n: bn44-00166c

Scanner failure

This is a serious hardware issue where you will not be able to copy or scan from the printer. However, printing is still possible. The only possible steps for this issue are Connecting it to a wall outlet directly, and performing a semi full reset..

Disconnect the power cord from the product.
Press and hold # and 6 while reconnecting the power cord to the product, and then release both buttons.

After performing this step, try making a copy. If the issue does not resolve, replacing is the only option available.
