If ti is connected to the router directly have to reset and set again the connection ..cause it is a completely other router ..and the default gateway and the ip address will be another the Ip address of the new router ...If you set it to get an ip address automatically just have to reset the connection ..or to set it manually ..according with the position of the printer /scanner on the router ..
if it is wireless connected..just see that it is connected and if you have a password on the network will need to scan again for the network ..insert the password and connect it ..
My advice is to connect it directly to one of the computers (best the admin on e..the one used to set the router ) ..and after that go to scaners and faxes..and put it to be shared in the network ...
when you will need to print from other computer ..all you have to do is to go to printers and scanners..and add a new scanner..and search in the network..when you find it by name ..add it and that's all .from that computer will always send the jobs to that printer ..

the NsCatCom is an execution from the Kyocera scanner file utility ..and it supposed to manage the Lan connection ..if this fails this is teh reason for the malfunction ..
try to uninstall this software completely ..and reinstall it and see if it is fixed..
also check the antivirus and the firewall to be sure that one of them is not blocking the execution ...cause it sees like a back door open ..
to check that ..just go to control panel and disable the firewall and see if that on restart will still get the notice..if yes..add the execution like an exception in firewall and into the antivirus ..

I get error 'Unable to find destination PC-Check the PC' on Kyocera Mita

This error means that there is a communication problem between the printer and the computer that is receiving scanned file. The error is usually prompted on network installed printers.

Check to ensure that the Scanner File Utility software is running and the computer is able to receive data.
Try restarting the computer and printer. Disconnect both units from power supply for five minutes before restarting.
Check if you have firewall or security software active on computer that can block communication from scanner. Ensure that the scanner utility is listedas an exception on firewall settings, if the application is not present, then you need to add it to allowed applications list.
Ensure that you have granted Scanner Utility access to system resources if asked.
Reinstall printer software and driver on PC. This can be done either using the disk provided with the printer, or using the download from Mita website.
Test the computer network cable. If cable is worn it can cause communication errors. This problem is usually occurring on LAN (network) printer installation. If using local installation via USB, then test using a different USB cable. If USB cable is damaged or too long (over 10 m.) , then you may get the error stated on local installation.

The most common reason for this problem is firewall settings or network problems. Network problems may be difficult to troubleshoot. Remember also that there is a built in firewall in the router resident software. If the router is set to block inbound communication from printer to computer, or if printer and computer are in two different IP ranges (eg. and, then you may get communication between computer and printer blocked by router firewall.

Here a setup manual (click to download), also ensure that you have performed scanner setup correctly.

Issues with scanning from Sharp MX2700N after replacing our wireless router.

Driver software wont affect the scanner functions unless its twain via USB. Sharpdesk is weird and thst unit can scan to smb, ftp, and smtp very easy. check DNS settings. Try putting the copier in dhcp mode and let it pull the TCP/IP info from the router again, then set the static address back to what it needs to be. Also turn the firewall in the router off.

Our computer maintenance company was able to set up our scanner about three months ago. Over the weekend we have lost that capability. We are receiving an error message: Setting how do I fix scanning...

Click this LINKfor the Scan to SMB setup guide which will walk you through the settings. If it had been working then stopped most likely just one setting has changed; the two things I would look at first is the password for the folder you are scanning to and and IP/Host Name of the computer you are scanning to.

Does your Domain require you to change your password on a regular bases? If so then the password set in the copier to access the folder on the computer may have changed and the new password needs to be set in the copier.

Also the person that setup the scanning originally may have set it to scan to the IP address of the computer you are scanning to but if the computer is setup for a dynamic IP address the IP will change from time to time and then the copier will not be able to find the computer you are scanning to. Change the IP that the copier is set to scan to, to the Host Name of the computer you are scanning to and that will no longer be an issue.

The Scan to SMB setup guide goes over these settings.

1. Use a web browser to go to the machine at the ip address that you assigned to the scanner to check the network connection. need to make sure that the computer you are scanning to has the "Kyocera scanning utility" installed and running in the background.
Make sure address book is running. In address book editor you can change the path of the destination forlder and the Id# that are linked together.
Hope this will help.

Scanning does not start

if you are running DHCP configuration on your networked pc's you will have to use the host names of your computers as the destination addresses.

The reason for this is that the ip addresses  can change periodically.

another solution is to make all ip addresses on your computers static so the destination address for your scans will not change

please take the time to rate this fix
