First take the two screws that are exsposed after you remove the lint trap. Next use a flat bade screw driver and insert it in the seam between the front and top approximately 2 inches in from the side. There is a spring clip 2 inches in on each side you have to trip by shoving the screwdriver in about 1 1/4 inches. The easiest way is to tap them with a hammer. (pry upward on the top and lift it all the way up it will be hinged on the back. Now looking down each front corner you will see a 5/16 screw approximately 8 inches down from the top. Remove these screws and the front can be tilted outward and lifted straight up. You will see a door switch and wires attached to the front remove the wires. Set the front aside and out of your way. (if you are a very flexable person you can replace the belt from the front but us normal human beings have to remove the back) Next go to the back and remove the back panel there are several 5/16 hex head screws around the outside edge of the back panel remove them and set the back panel aside. Inside on the bottom left side as you face the back of the dryer you will see a motor and a tensioner. The tensioner may still be in place it goes in a slot in the bottom of the dryer next to the pulley on the motor. Remove the old belt it usually is laying in the bottom. Put the new belt on the drum by putting it around the drum from the front. The belt goes around the drum across the pully on the motor with the tensioner and its pully putting tension of the belt to take up any slack. Then just put everything back in reverse order. Make sure the tensioner pully rotates smoothly if it does not this can cause your belt to break or usually get thrown off the pully. Remember to unplug your dryer before starting and clean the excess lint out of the bottom of the dryer as a good prevention to other problems. I hope this helps and good luck

Belt was broken, so I had to go inside the motor assembly -- torx screws all the way. The problem is finding a replacement belt without buying a whole new power drive.

Does the timeing belt have to be on for the crank to turn the cam when instilling the timeing belt?

Are you replacing a broken timing belt? Or are you replacing a belt because it's due by miles? If the belt is broken, i strongly suggest inspecting for bent valves. Daewoo is notorious for bending all valves and breaking valve guides in the cylinder head when the timing belt breaks. The broken belt is also common.

Dyer will not turn on. Can hole the starter button in and dryer will run. remove and the dryer will stop running. When holding the start button the dryer does not heat. Any Idea's as to what may be...

broken belt or broken broken belt switch most likely. Open the door. Hold in the door switch and push the start button. Does the drum turn? If it does turn then the broken belt micro switch is where I would look first. If the drum don't turn of course I would replace the broken belt.
The only Kenmore dryer that has a broken belt switch is the 4 wheel drive model. Here is a video which shows how to get into this dryer and replace the belt:

Ac belt broken. Is car safe to drive? How hard is this belt to replace?

as long as the water pump, alternator, are working properly. but if it has just one serpintine belt that drives all things it must be replaced. before running. if only the ac belt, it is ok to drive if it has its own belt that is broken.

    Fan belt replacement

Pop the top - it is held in place by spring clips. Lift it up ... you should see the belt. If you can lift the belt, it is broken - if you don't see it, it is broken. If you see it and can't move it, you have a different problem.

Broken belt, remove the front panel - be careful of the door wires.

The drum will fall free - remove it. Pay attention to the belt tensioner. It snaps into the floor. The belt goes through the tensioner and around the motor pulley.

Get a replacement at a appliance parts place or from a FixYa.com advertiser.
