SOURCE: Microwave display window shows locked!!!!
The
first thing I would suggest is a hard reset. Unplug the unit for a
minute or so. Then plug it back in, set the clock and try again.
Let us know if the hard reset does not fix it.
There may be grease or soot on the control panel causing a lockup, and it may need circuit board cleaning / repair or a new keypad.

SOURCE: kenmore elite microwave oven displays "Locked" and will not respond
My Kenmore Elite microwave (don't have the model number in front of me) also mysteriously locked its own keypad (we were sitting in an adjacent room, heard a strange beep, and got up to find the LED reading "Locked."). I pressed and held down the Stop/Clear button for ~10 seconds and it returned to normal.

I have the same model and the instructions at this site on how to remove it will help you. The owner's manual is useless. Good luck!

Hi,
Many models of the GE microwave have sensors that can detect humidity
from the foods you are cooking. This allows the microwave to make
adjustments to the power levels used to cook your food. If "Sensor
Error" appears, you should either press "Clear" to cancel the mode or
leave the food in the appliance longer to give the microwave more time
to detect the food.
Press "Time Cook" to manually enter the time
if you receive an error message when trying to use the "Sensor Reheat"
mode of your GE microwave. The error message may be caused by the food
item being too large or too small to detect.
these are some other code error that will help you in case of next time.
jQuery('.article ol .image').each(function(i,e){
var $this = jQuery(this);
$this.find('img').error(function(){
jQuery(this).remove();
$this.remove();
});
}); NOTE:
"F3" codes mean your oven temperature sensor has failed or shorted out.
The only thing you can do is to replace the sensor.
Take care.

For replacement parts - head on over to PartSelect.com or RepairClinic.com and enter in your full model number for a full parts listing.
I recommend both sites because ...
FixYa has no affiliation with either site - I have been using and recommending them for years - trouble free.
PartSelect has a great schematic database for locating the part on your unit and great "testimonials" for each part that often times includes HOW-TO information.
RepairClinic has pictures of each part they sell and also a great how-to and troubleshooting for basic repairs.
If your unit has never been serviced - there should still be an original service manual enclosed in plastic taped to the inside of the shell.
In the service manual are Error codes, maintenance procedures, and troubleshooting steps you can follow.
Anything too complicated or beyond your scope should be handled by a professional.
If you think you want to tackle the repair - and have gotten stuck on a step - reply to your question and I will be glad to help you out.
Thanks for using FixYa - a 4 THUMBS rating is appreciated for answering your FREE question.
