Manufacturers only supply mainboard manuals when the mainboard is sold as a stand-alone part. This is so that the system builder can populate and setup the board according to specifications. Pre-built systems use mainboards that are specially designed for the PC manufacturer by the mainboard manufacturer. There is no manual associated with these builds. Some mainboards used in pre-built systems may be very similar to stand-alone models. In those cases, you may be able to use the stand-alone manual. But unless you know who made the mainboard for Lenovo (they did not), you won't find a manual for the mainboard specifically.
wipe all tv related software from pc delete tv card entry from device manager and reeboot windows will find card and ask to install software again this should fix it if not card may be faulty should check card in another pc before trashing it.
The Tyan MP boards do not support legacy USB. You have to use a PS/2 keyboard to get into the bios. If possible, I would clear the cmos by popping the battery out or finding the jumper to clear it. Then try to access bios again from ps/2 keyboard.
These boards also have compatibility problems with many video cards. Check Tyan's website for a list of supported cards if you are not using onboard video.
As long as the heatsinks are properly mounted on the CPUs with thermal compound, the fans are operating normally, and air is flowing through the system, the chasis that you run these boards in shouldn't matter.
If all fails, try removing pci devices, external peripherals and drives one at a time to try to eliminate possible causes.
Hi Imran, Sadly this is a fairly common problem with combo drives. In all likelihood, it will cost you more to have the drive repaired than to replace it. I will suggest purchasing a dvd writer to replace the combo drive. They are fairly inexpensive. Regards, Graemevm
Usually, when you hold an ATX power button down for more than 3 seconds, it forces the system to power down. If this is not the case, there may be a hardware problem.
This is a type of hardware problem that I have encountered when one of the cables in a system is stuck on incorrectly. I've encountered this when people: a) don't have the extra 15v cable correctly inserted on their mainboard. b) have the flat cable of a floppy disk drive or LS drive inserted the wrong way around, c) a harddrive or ROMdrive cable incorrectly inserted and / or d) when the cables between the pc housing and mainboard are incorrectly connected.
If you have just recently installed hardware or someone has just recently worked on it, read the manual of the mainboard and check the settings of the connected cables on the mainboard and drives.
A power light on a PC often turns red when a disk drive is active. That's not a good state in which to constantly power down the PC, because one shouldn't often turn off the computer while it is reading the hard disk, otherwise data corruption or even worse, hard disk damage may occur.
this problem is cause by some hardware components. just make sure all of your hardware components are fixed correctly with mainboard. or else, if you installed any new hardware options to your computer, just remove that & try to start the computer.
if you still have that problem, just let me know!!
Athlon 64 mainboards are pretty cheap right now, as are Intel Dual Core CPU's and mainboards. Some of the newer boards do not even have a FD header on them, so if you want to go that way just pick up a USB floppy drive. Shouldn't cost more than about $15. For a real bargain, check out socket 478 (intel) and socket 754 (AMD) combos. They can be an excellent deal. I buy most of my stuff @ newegg.com tgvern
