Washer only stays on rinse cycle

No matter where i put the washer control on the gallery stackagle (Quick wash, delicate, whites) the unit never goes into the spin cycle, never drains all the way, never reloads with fresh water.

I reset the power. shift the cycle knobs all over the place, yet no change. Only soppy wet soapy clothes.

The first thing to check in a no-spin condition on any washer is the lid switch. The whole purpose of the lid switch is to stop the tub from spinning when the lid is opened and this should also cause it not to drain or fill. It’s a safety thing.

A quick check of the lid switch is to slowly raise and lower the lid a little bit and listen for a faint clicking sound. This is usually a pretty good indication that the lid switch is working but it’s not definitive. A better test is to put an ohm meter on it and test the switch. You can access the switch by removing the washer cabinet.

The lid switch will most likely look like one of the two pictures below. You can click the pictures for a larger view and to order the part.

    It won't drain

If your washer won't drain, check these:

    It spins, but doesn't pump
    It doesn't spin or pump
It pumps, but the water returns

    It spins, but doesn't pump

    If
your washer spins but doesn't pump the water out, the drain line is
probably clogged. In many washers, a small sock or other piece of
clothing can get between the clothes tub and the outer tub that holds
the water. If the clothing gets between the tubs, it may then get into
the drain hose that's attached to the pump--or even into the pump
itself. If it's in the pump, you need to remove the hoses from the pump
    and pull the item out.

To remove the sock from the outer tub
port, open the washer's main access panel and remove the large-diameter
rubber hose that connects the pump to the bottom of the outer tub.
Then, using needle-nose pliers, try to grab and remove the clothing
    through the port.

Sometimes you can't remove the stuck
clothing from below. Then you have to remove the agitator, top of the
outer drum shield, and inner clothes tub. This isn't easy to do--and
you may need special tools--so you might be happier getting a qualified
appliance repair technician to do the job.

    If the drain line
isn't plugged, the problem may be with your pump. Even if the pump
appears to be turning, the internal impeller may be broken. If so, you
    need to replace the pump.

    It doesn't spin or pump

    If
your washer doesn't spin or pump water out but the motor is running,
your washer probably has a frozen pump pulley. If so, you need to
replace the pump. To check the pulley, remove the pump from the washer
and try to rotate the pulley manually. If it doesn't turn freely--if
    it's frozen or stiff--replace it.

It pumps, but the water returns

    If
the water that pumps out of the machine goes back into the machine
after the spin cycle, your washer may be siphoning the water from a
laundry tub that has a slow drain, back into the washer. The usual
remedy for this is to improve the draining of the laundry tub. (Is
something stuck in the drain?) Also, check for these problems:

    • If the drain hose reaches more than about 4 inches into the laundry tub, cut off the excess.

    • If your drain hose is lower than the washer's cabinet, install an air gap/siphon break assembly.

Not spinning

Its likely you need a new motor speed control board, its the most commonly replaced board in these washers. On this model its located underneath on the right or left wall. You can't really test this but try putting the washer in to the Spin and Rinse cycle, if it doesn't spin then that is most likely your trouble.I did a quick Google search and found this page for the part:http://www.appliancepartspros.com/frigidaire-control-board-134743500-ap3891780.html

Kenmore washer model 12502100 goes into rinse cycle fills with water turns then stops. won't drain just stops hear humming or buzzing noise.

Try to put it on rinse on another cycle, like normal, heavy duty or delicate. If it works, then your timer is probably bad. If it doesn't work then maybe the pump. Best of luck

Amana washer only works on delicate cycle

Open the control panel. Unplug the timer and then plug it back in good and firm.
If it does not work correctly after that,
Replace your timer.

Water

its probably normal as new machines now only put in enough water to saturate the clothes its only the rinse or wool/delicate cycles that use a higher water level

While in service mode, pressing the delicates key
will start a quick service cycle. This will be a quick
check of all systems.
The following steps will be followed.
1. Energize the cold and bleach water valves. Fill to
Low level, then turn bleach and cold off.
2. Energize the hot and fabric softener water valves. Fill
to high level, then turn all valves off.
3. Lock the door.
4. Tumble using 7/3 tumble pattern for 12 sec.
5. Turn the drain on.
6. Spin to 800 RPM using default rates.
7. End spin and coast down.
8. Unlock the door when the RPM is zero.
9. Display a ‘PA’ (Passed) on continuously for 10 seconds

cycle, the pressing of the hand wash will suspend
the machine at this step for 30 minutes until the
Hand Wash key is pressed again. All LED’s will
flash on and off while the cycle is suspended, or on
hold.
Motor Drive System
To check the system, check the board for proper
output to the motor control. Performing a board
output test does this. Then perform the Motor
Control Board Output Test.
Motor Control Board Output Test
1. Disconnect power to the washer.
2. Remove the front panel and pull the JP4 Connector
from the motor control board.
The following Quick Spin test steps are as follows:
1) Lock the door.
2) Spin to 350 rpm and hold for 6 seconds.
3) Spin to 550 rpm and hold for 6 seconds.
4) Spin to 600 rpm and hold for 6 seconds.
5) Spin to 650 rpm and hold for 6 seconds.
6) Spin to 800 rpm and hold for 6 seconds.
If the Spin key is pressed again during the Quick Spin
test, the current speed will be held indefinitely. Pressing
the Spin key again will allow the quick test to
proceed as listed above.
When the washer is in the Service Mode, the speed
will be displayed as a two digit number or a letter/
number.
Quick Spin Test
While in service mode, the pressing of spin key shall
start the washer in the quick spin mode.
3. Reconnect the washer power cord to supply
voltage. Make sure the door is closed.
4. Press delicates and heavy soil keys for 3 seconds
to activate Service Mode.
