My whirlpool special edition 3 cycle dose not turn on but it gets heat the belt is fine, it was working fine then one day out of the blue i turned it on and it was not starting noticed it was still heating up makes no noise not blowing or spinning like its not on at all, looked inside of it belt is fine, gets heat perfectly fine looked on solutions didn't find one besides belt if you could help me it would be great, thank you for your time.

Most likely belt has broken. Once in awhile, the belt will work its way off if you had weird loads like shoes or something. The other likely possibility is the motor. Motors are very simple to replace as well.

Check the motor capacitor,sometimes the capacitor could be faulty or the motor is faulty or check if the motor is receiving power,if it's receiving power try to replace the capacitor if the is any in the system,if still it's not working then the motor could be burnt.

Also check weather the timer is perfecty.

Hi,

If you are having problems with your gas dryer not heating the most common problem is that the ignitor goes bad. Even though it glows sometimes it is still not working properly.


if you dryer is gas check out this gas no heat tip....


If you have an electric dryer, you can have many different things that can go wrong causing the dryer not to heat.

Hi, your site looks awesome ! I just got a dryer
Check to see if the belt has slipped off the motor pulley, or off of the idle arm pulley.
Also could be a broken belt.
Try turning the drum by hand by reaching inside the drum with the dryer off, once you give a 1/4-1/2 turn, then turn on the dryer sometimes the motor will restart as they get a dead zone in them sometimes

gabehart....sounds like belt is slipping. Replace it. The water pump is on a separate smaller motor so is not affected by the agitator/spin motor.
