Question about Sony VAIO VGC-RA840G PC Desktop
My VAIO VGC-RA840G will not boot up Windows XP. This started yesterday after I was flipping some circuit breakers in the basement.
Now when I turn on power I get a choice to Start up in Safe Mode, Start up in Safe Mode with Command Prompt, Start in Safe Mode wiht Network Connection (or something like this), Start with previous known good configuration or start in Normal mode.
I have tried all of these several times and none work. It just starts to try to boot up and then restarts again.
I have set recovery points on the computer but I do not have a recovery disk. In addition I do have all my personal files backed up onto a second external hard drive.
I have been to the Sony site but have been unable to make any progress
Can anyone advise me what my next step should be
Thanks in advance
When your computer is rebooting, push the F8 key. It will change your start up options and you will see disable automatic reboot on system failure. You can they see the error and continue research on the problem.
