Tip

Error Code F8E5

F8E5 Exhaust air template detection failure 1. Press CANCEL - CANCEL - START, verify failure code, and then press CLOCK/OPTIONS to display the exhaust air temperature sensor reading. Verify the sensor temperature reading is at room temperature (typically 50?F to 90? [10?C to 32?C]) and verify failure code. If failure code matches complaint, continue to Step 2. 2. Unplug microwave oven or disconnect power. 3. Disconnect sensor from ACU PCBA. 4. Measure HF NTC resistance between connector pins and confirm reading is between 9.5k??and 10.5k??at room temperature. If measurement is not correct, or if a short or open circuit is found, replace sensor. 5. Replace all parts and panels before operating. 6. Plug in microwave oven or reconnect power. 7. If the sensor temperature reading is still not correct, replace ACU PCBA. 8. If failure does not appear, stop.

I have an AcuRite #00994W oven thermometer and have just tried to use it for the first time and find that it will not turn on. I assume the battery must be dead but cannot find battery replacement...

Hold firmly to the face of the thermometer with your right hand. With your left hand fingers push the stand towards you slightly. Then use your thumb on the opposite side to separate the stand from the main unit. Do not squeeze the sides together. Do not be surprised if breaks the tabs that hold the stand to the unit. This part of the unit is poorly designed. You should then see the battery compartment on the back of the unit. Be aware it takes 2 AAA batteries.

I have a cookworks microwave and turntable wont turn

you may find that the turntable motor has failed but it may also be the coupling under the plate to get to the motor u need to remove the plate and tip the unit on its side rite in the middle of your unit you will see a square plate u will need to cut this away at the corners when you have taken this off you will see the motor do unplug the unit before you do any work on it also to refit the plate all u do turn it around and use a small screw to hold it in place

Microwaves without a turntable

It is very hard to find any quailty microwave made today without a turntable.
You can go to Rite-Aid or Walgreens and find them there without turntables.
