Hi Have recently purchased a Honer 280 /64

Hi Have recently purchased a Honer 280 /64 Chromonica. Sadly right from the start I've had buzzing sounds from the lower end of this 16 holed Chromonica. It makes a buzzing noise when blowing and drawing. Apart from this problem the harmonica is great. Regards Robert

These harminicas are warranteed and rarely have problems. Either return it to the place of purchase for an exchange or contact Hohner directly. My experience with this company is that they are eager to make things right.

Hi, when using the gain control on my amp I get a buzz and an 'osilating' sound. I've tried several guitars and leads but still the same problem, any suggestions?

Hi.

If the amp is working, then most of the time the buzz is given by a bad grounding. Test the amp using different wall sockets, and possibly test it in a different home (there may be an earthing problem with the home network). If the problem goes away, then it was the wall socket or the home power network. If the buzzing is still there the problem is with the amp. Check the earth connection at power cord and psu and test the amplifier's PSU components. Check also the audio connections inside the amp (the back of the female jack input sockets). A small contact in there will result in a loud buzz.

Recently I bought 12 hole Hohner chromatic. First

I would be tempted to try spraying CRC226 into the harmonica. It is available at Home Depot in the electrical department, usually near the electrical tape in a blue can about $2.70. It is plastic safe and is a water displacer and a very LIGHT lubricator. If there is crud in there it may dislodge it. It also is good at preventing rust and freeing rusty pliers, etc.

Problem with second and third holes in chromonica 270

You might find the info you need here:http://www.harmonicalessons.com/repairs_chart.html It sounds to me as if you have some stuck reeds.

Hohner 12 hole Chromatic, Super Chromonica. A # is " flat."

You can take it apart by removing the two screws, see if any of the reels seem blocked or obstructed by dirt, bits of dust, oxydation (greenish crystalline stuff) or similar, try to remove the stuff that seems to obstruct the reel with a medium hardness paintbrush (you might want to use some alcohol), but be very careful not to permanently bend or otherwise damage the reels, it will ruin the sound of the harmonica.

My aUNT HAS BEEN PLAYING THESE CHROMATIC HARMONICAS FOR MANY YEARS THE PAST 2 OR 3 WE HAVE PURCHASED OVER THE PAST FEW YEARS GET JAMMED UPAND DON'T WORK AFTER JUST A SHORT TIME (THE SLIDE ON THE END WON'T...

Probably doesn't dry them out. A possible thing would be to spray CRC226 to free them up. This product is a water displcer that is MUCH thinner than WD40 which would gum up the works.

You can get CRC226 in a small blue can in the electrical dept at Home Depot.
