Question about Canon PowerShot S500 IXUS 500 Digital Camera
It is taking the pictures in green and yellow. i have not droped it and i keep it in the cover, i dont undrstand why it's not working. i tried to play with the settings at a wedding this weekend and none of my night shots came out right. when i turn the cmera on and i press disp you see a dark black thick line across the top and above that line it is purple and when i try to take a picture the things look green. Can anyone tell me what to do please? Thanks Gladys
It appears that the image sensor (CCD) has stopped functioning. There is no fix for the part, only repair, and replacement of the part. If you perform an internet search, type in "bad CCD purple images", you should get several sites with the information in detail.
