Question about Toshiba 56HMX195 52" HDTV DLP Projection TV
DMD board is the source of your problem. I am damn sure. DMD module contains the DMD chip that reflects the light onto the color wheel. It consists of a large number of digital mirrors. If the mirrors in the lower half fail, then you will encounter problems like snowy screen. It can be easily identified by means of a large IC on it and a fan on the board itself. Should cost you around 200$-300$.
